Re: Can we?
I’m enjoying this season so far. I do have hope some here don’t see us being anything for at least 2 to 3 years but those same people say that every year.. some of those same people I’m glad I don’t associate with at the games or in life in general …. no I’m happy with the way we are going. I have ...

Re: Saints once again under appreciated by the media
Nah you ain’t being over sensitive NDSC - it’s par for the course, it’s the cross we Saint supporters have to wear, with the media rarely giving us credit where credit is due. Always been the way & likely to remain so

Re: Match Thread vs Richmond
Next time i'm at training i'd like to ask the S&C guys to organise a 100 meter dash between Owens and Cordy, i think it would be a draw. Yep…….slow Very obvious today. Wasn't last year. Probably adjusting to the bulk he has added/sore. I got this impression too, maybe added a bit too much bulk ...

Re: Team v Tigers
Tigers marked out the dimensions of Norwood Oval, on Punt Rd Oval during training, so they could get used to the ground size. RTB said that's OTT and obsessive. He said we could play on asphalt or gravel, he doesn't care. I thought it was a good idea, we should have tried that too. Anyway The inter...

Re: It's not glamorous': Footy's most underappreciated role
As the article in ALF.com says,
“So here’s to the humble half-forwards, for it’s time they got their adulation.”
Now let’s all genuflect to the memorable past deeds when playing for the Saints, of our much loved traded JB, then move on!!

Re: Phillipou
I can’t see Phillipou playing the wing. To me he looks rather slow when he runs, looks like he’s dragging his feet out of mud. Doubt if he’d have the endurance to do all the gut running the modern day winger requires. I’ve never noticed him get out of a trot, even when he’s attempting to chase a pla...

Re: Josh Battle
Didn’t the journo junkie (don’t know his name) during the half time break against Collingwood (on Fox telecast) say that Battle was near signing a 6 year deal with Saints, only a couple of things needed ironing out? 6 years I think is a bit over the top for Battle, but then again the $ amount might ...

There'll be a surprise sub, he looks like Jason Statham but gets caught more often than the flu

Re: Lance Collard
How’d you feel about Collard’s debut Loris? He was burnt twice by King and once by Owens, if it had been an ideal world he would possibly have had 3 goals then it would have been a masterstroke to have Collard as a sub. Alas, we will never know as he may have had the yips like most Saint forwards &...

Yes the AFL foots the bill for family member(s) to attend a recruits FIRST AFL game regardless...

Re: Backline
From what of hear of Battle, it’s a knee. I reckon he may be ok. Fingers cross Sincs if back too. The only other suggestion I have is that Coops could go back for a bit if needed but obviously he’s not key position size From the way Sinclair speaks in interviews & also I think it was Misson or ...

Re: Hunter Clark is injured again and looking at 6 weeks...
We’ve kind gone a bit early here… No point getting rid of him now… 10 months time he’s either a regular in the top 22 and looking good or he’s either a bit player that’s always injured or someone who is simply down on form and borderline top 22. That outcome pbly drives the decision making Cm’on sk...

Geeez that sucks. Not meaning to be cheeky but he just can’t get a break. Pbly the single player on the list that would take us up a grade with him if he got close to his potential. Any idea how long the recovery is? On Saints.com that he is undertaking the concussion protocol - the fracture they s...

Re: Training Reports
The Collard story makes sense without any subtext. We had a 4 day break, kid went home to visit friends/family after being whisked away after the draft. Caught covid, staying there until better. IMO Clark is serving the recommended '21 day' concussion protocols but we don't want to flag it as it's ...

I was there in 1966, still remember the thrill of it like it was only happened last year. That feeling of absolute bloody relief when that siren finally sounded, left me sobbing uncontrollably. I’m glad the timekeeper kept his finger on the siren for so long, blasting its noise out again & again...
