Re: Saints uncontracted players beyound this year
A guy on FB claiming ITK status that Billings didn't respond well to getting dropped. Speculation is all we have but I always wondered what his character was like and if he was the type to throw the toys out of the cot or would he respond in the right way after getting back in the team. It won't su...

Re: Sinclair, Marshall and Wilkie
Same with Jarryn Geary. Nothing came easy. Had to work his butt off to carve out a successful AFL career We bring in a guy like Hill into the team and the coach and footy boss tell the rest of the players that he ‘won’t be dropped’. What the f*** is that? I know you’re thinking that was last year, ...

So you've left out Patton, Ryder, Butler & Higgins & ?
In comes Ross, Lienert, McKenzie, Campbell, Hannaberry, Connolly & Windhager
OK, worth a try....

Re: What a pack of whingers
Yeah, our midfield is atrocious.
Our midfield would be stronger with Blake Acres and Luke Dunstan. Quite frankly I'd still prefer to have Acres ahead of Brad Hill.
And of course we chose Paddy McCartin ahead of Petracca...

Good luck Jack, I'm a fan.
Reckon he gets a poor wrap here, but he's a classy, quality ball user. If he was drafted at pick 40 and not always compared to Bontempelli, I reckon he'd be better liked at this place.

Re: Luck of the Draw?
It's technically not Luck of the Draw. That would imply that the games were decided by drawing the teams from a hat, like they decide the barrier draw for the Melbourne Cup. If there was a draw, then luck plays an important part. But the AFL schedule is not decided by a draw, perhaps calling it a fi...

Paddy looks pretty fit at Sydney, but at St Kilda he mostly looked chubby.

As a group, our back 6 have been very solid this year, they seem to work as a cohesive unit.

Marshall on his own concerns me, he's just not himself, and likely carrying an injury.
I'd have tolerated giving the boy Heath a crack, he may even add value forward and diverted attention from Max like Jack Hayes.

It's a fair question. If forced to choose between Clark and Jones, I'd probable lean toward Clark.SaintPav wrote: ↑Sat 04 Jun 2022 2:12amDude, seriously.
Jones major asset is his line-breaking pace, but disposal is average. Clark is a more skilled playmaker.

Credit to the umpire for using common sense.
The ball was kicked into the crowd after the final siren, so theoretically there was no time left to waste.

If either Marshall or Ryder are carrying injuries, or need a rest this would be a great opportunity for Heath to have a taste.

Surely he comes in this week. Barely seemed to raise a sweat, but then again he never does appear to. Can’t afford to have talent like his not playing seniors if fit. Also, Heath Iooks a serious prospect. Ultimately will be a ruckman, but at 19 could get a game as a key forward. Kicked three in a l...

Re: Match Thread Saints v Cats Round 9 202
Watched the 3rd quarter again today. Great to watch but picked up something on the replay, Selwood pulling Jack Steele’s arm, on the damaged shoulder, both players nowhere near the ball. What a disgraceful act and reinforces my poor opinion of him. Which time in the 3rd? Should be exposed in the me...

Why don't we get rid of Hannaberry and give his salary to Marshall.
Then with Marshall's (current) salary we should get after one of Essendon's promising young kids

I'm not an accountant.....but......
Hannabery's salary, like all other players, is already a tax deduction...
...but I also suspect that St Kilda is a 'not for profit', so it probably doesn't even pay tax...
