Too true.
The privilege of getting old but keeping your memory is being able to remember how great Baldock was.

And probably contributed to poor decisions like the move to Seaford. Anyone calculated the net cost to the club in moving to Seaford then back to Moorabbin?

We will get an idea of how good last year's trade with Hawthorn is by the end of this year's trade period. Hope you're right about it.older saint wrote:Carlisle is looking pretty good at the moment , along with last years trade with Hawthorn.

A footy wise Director of coaching, together with some very good new assistant coaches and some excellent end of season trading. A great off season for the Tigers.

Re: The Deliberate Out of Bounds Rule
The harsher interpretation of the rule is good for the game as it keeps the ball in play for longer periods. The criticism echos that when the "out of bounds on the full" rule was introduced almost 50 years ago, because it penalised players who didn't "mean to do it". As with al...

BigBoy is also aged 28!!!!! How was he at say 23????? Hard to tell, Rosy didn't give him much of a go in development years. Big Boy could always mark and kick and had good endurance but lacked agility. BB skills and coordination far superior to Billy, but Billy is more combative. .....and a far bet...

Re: The book still likes us against North...
I'm getting quite worried about this game. This one is make or break, really. A win would restore some confidence, but a loss could have us on the the downward spiral and a lot of questions will start to be asked about the current team and Alan Richardson's capabilities as coach. Good clubs do a re...

Re: Billings arrives!
Confidence has always been Billings issue. It won't surprise me if his wayward goal kicking becomes less and less frequent. He no longer has that panicked look when he is shooting for goal. Also good to see him play HFF which is his spot. Whilst I don't mind if he has the occasional run on a wing I...

Re: Where is Riewoldt amoungst our all time greats?
I don't give 2 hoots that Doc had a short career, he made this footy club (on and off ground). Jeansy said it, and he was far from alone. I used to watch WoS on Sundee mornings, and the ONLY player who could pull up their bs was Doc. When he turned up, everyone else shut up. A gem of a footballer, ...

Re: Untouchables under 23- are they right
I wish they'd stop pigeon-holing Gresham as a small forward. He's better than that, a future star midfielder. As for McClunkin, we've had a glimpse of what he can be. Absolute gun if he can stop being ko'd. The author obviously doesn't have much of a clue, though, as Paddy's conversion has been so-...
