I think in these types of disputes we refer to the subject coach/player as a percentage, that would make Dean Kent Mr 20% this week, assuming I've calculated correctly.
(Can someone please check the calculation)

Re: Bassat, Ratts, Lade & Billy!
All credit to our brilliant start must go the above four key inclusions. The moment for me when we have official arrived was in the third term yesterday. A passage of play where we slowly switched the ball in defence a few times then put on the afterburners and scored a goal. It was a sign of a fai...

Re: The Negatives!!!!!
It is a shame that a win is used as an opportunity to spite forumites. So far this season the club has exceeded my expectations... and I’m happy to see it. Do I think we’ve rectified all the problems from last year, no. Have we reacted to them and made good changes that are paying off. Yes. Why the...

Re: What's a pass mark at round 7?
I predicted 3 and 3 by round 6 so clearly I'm happy about the start to the season.
The core of talent on the list before 2018 trading was good and at times had even shown it could be very good, enter the new guys.
Blind Freddy could see this list was going somewhere.

Re: On a wing and a prayer, why the Saints are flying high.
It would appear from those stats not all was as bad as it seemed in 2018.
The game plan obviously didn't need a complete redesign but rather some tweaks by fresh eyes.
Just really proud of how the club navigated through 2018.

Don't know how much of it is true. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/saints-making-progress-in-rivalry-with-demons-20190419-p51fni.html Probably all of it I would say. Don't think journalists, especially very good ones can get away with writing lies. It's a shockingly boring and irrelevant cooky ...

Telling https://twitter.com/LHodge15/status/1119218919313534976?s=19 Is the Damien Barrett MO really acceptable behaviour in today's society. It seems to be counterproductive to dealing with bullying and mental health issues. I think as a society we need to question the market place that provides f...

Re: Hannebery unlikely to play AFL in first month of season
Hanneberry so far is a mistake, no one is disagreeing with that at the moment, myself included. But I will wait until the end of the year to write him off completely. There is a big chance DH will provide great value for money over the duration of his contract term so your generalisation is factual...

How much do you reckon Caro get's paid, when I die I'm coming back as a footy journo. Good on anyone for making a buck out of that.

Re: Margin (and crowd) vs the Cheeseboarders
38k ish 60 + this week. Our game plan made Melbourne look ordinary last year and we have improved it since then. Dees can't stop the quick movement out of the backline and defending wide and we are probably the best at swtiching sides quickly and exposing teams in that area to then create the F50 en...

Re: Saints no 1 in tackling
Unbelievable stat given last year. This is huge and will always put you in games of footy. I have noticed even little blokes Gresham and Lonie are tackling hard and sticking tackles. They weren't doing this consistently before. Well done to Alan and the coaching staff for fixing this issue...maybe ...

Re: Lock for Bottom 4?
Richo has had long enough to have his own list now so enough of those kind of excuses. He isn't making them so no one else should in his behalf .He is part of the recruiting team and is a development coach so recruiting poorly is partly on him, not recruiting players to fill holes in a few years is...

Re: Tripping in tackle?
I noticed this when watching the replay and given the discussion on tripping recently wondered where this sits. Puopolo used his legs to take Newnes legs out from under him in tackling-- haven't seen it in others but will keep an eye out now- at the 2.17 mark of this clip https://www.saints.com.au/...

Re: Time to step up!!!!!
The thing is, the criticism of Richo over 2018 was largely warranted... likewise just about everyone is acknowledging commending the improved performance so far. The 'Richo Haters' per'se posted criticism based on what they saw... and that is fair enough. It's their right. It's rubbed a handful of ...

Alan's game day tactics have been inspired. Putting Blake into the ruck really got him going and the team lifted around him. Note to all the haters, if you don't have two quality ruckman dont select VFL standard tall guys just cause that's how they did it in the 80s. An even more inspiring move mig...

I notice in all comments in this thread, people are forgetting the elephant in the room, being back at Moorabbin and out of the shithole Seaford has made a big difference in my opinion. We are no longer at a disadvantage to other clubs with our training facilities, you only have to go down there to...
