Club to announce new Head Groundkeeper by end of Monday. Rumor it's Don Burke If you are going to attempt humour at least use a correct analogy. One had a consenting relationship albeit extra marital and the other one has had non consensual accusations make. Sorry fail to see the connection, and it...

With all due respect Hutchings was terrible at Sandy showed very little. Met him and he was a great kid but was a slow as a wet week and did not win a lot of the footy.Jacks Back wrote:They didn't give him much of a chance. Kind of like they didn't give Hutchins a chance and now plays every week at west coast.

The facts are that he inherited a list that was screwed along with a salary cap that was screwed.
No he was no messiah but given the cards he was dealt I would suggest he did a reasonable job.

Re: Where to for Nick O'Keaney.
I have watched a heap of Sandringham games over the last two years. NOK is a good player can find the footy well and is a nice mark for his height, but he does not have any X factor and is very conservative in his ball use. Minchington is a much better player in my opinion, NOK should be given a fin...

I'm starting to think this year might be an average draft. Not sure it's the year to have two good picks. Just our rotten luck. What makes you think that Con? Not having a go just interested in you expanding upon your opinion. I always find it interesting the whole weak or strong draft talk, each y...

Re: 2017 Draft. Picks 7,8- who do you want?
and Marshall should be promoted imo. . Why? 1/ He was still raw last year. There was a lot to like, but he still needs to improve. 2/ I believe that from 2018 on that clubs can freely play rookies in the firsts if they choose too. Minor issue. True. Makes little difference if he is promoted or not....

How did we fare after Lockett left? Made the 1997 Grand Final. How did we fare after Harvey left? Made the 2009 Grand Final. Players will step up and fill the void. Where did those 3 champions finish in this years B&F ... and we got 11 wins from a hard FIXture. They guided in the next generatio...

Don't reckon we need his type of player, would have thought that 34 would be early for him to be picked as well.

Points value in picks traded are totally irrelevant if we were never going to use them. Look at how many list spots we have available we were not going to use 59 and 63. I am sure some of you just complain for the sake of it, might start a thread for you to post in about how crap this tears draftees...

Apparently deal not happening as Freo think Weller is worth a top four pick they will not entertain anything outside of that.
Surely an ambit claim or did I miss when Weller became a gun of the competition.

Has anyone actually seen him play? And if you have what are his strengths and weaknesses ? Solid player. Recruited from Box Hill. Reads the ball well. Good mark. Weaknesses. Probably athleticism. Not a great rebounder. Thanks Con, He has completely flown under my radar don't even recall seeing him ...

Both Jamie Cripps and Dale Weightman have managed to play game after game year after year but some reckon Paddy won't be able to due his diabetes.
What a load of rubbish, I would be mor concerned about other injuries with him than his diabetes.

Don't recall ever saying we would get Tomlinson only commented about his girlfriends impact on any decision. We are not getting him as he is contracted and GWS have said they will not trade him, which was always the most likely scenario. Plus the fact Ameet said we had not tabled a five year contrac...

Regardless of McCartins output he was not a huge risk was considered in the top two players of his draft year. Freeman was traded for a second round pick hardly a huge risk really but granted he was injured but badly mismanaged . I am talking about taking a risk with a high selection, take the risk...

I don't care if Tomlinson comes as I don't think he is what we need so not a priority but he would none the less improve our side . As for his partner it is an individual sport with very little funding so if he is offered a significantly better deal they move. Was involved in Athletics for years an...

Does our history cloud our thinking on taking risks and being brave? Due to our lack of success it seems to me that if we get something wrong it is St Kilda are crap, poorly run, poor culture. As a result we okay it save, Hawthorn and Geelong on the other hand can take risks as they have had success...

Re: Coaching Shuffle
Nothing changes he is still a part time ruck coach, great professional development opportunity for him.
But gee slight conflict of interest when he coaches against Sandy, don't think we need a full time ruck coach but not ideal.
So what does he tell the Frankston ruck when they play Sandy?
