Met a guy yesterday who owns a shop Ben Cousins gets his fruit and veg from. Rekons that cuz says that Kosi is going to be the AFL bolter of the season. He is mates with Gardy and says it is the first time he goes in with the body holding up. Best news I 've heard for awhile. The guy was a pies supp...

Robert Harvey was a legend but he was part of another generation. Having him around was like living with your parents, him leaving has meant the younger guys take responsibility for themselves. He will always be loved for his contribution and has left a legacy - brilliant work ethic and a standard o...

Have to say Raph too. He's worked himself into a decent player and he's a bit of a left field choice.

But the next would have to be Bakes -funny and mental like an old fashioned footy player when they still had personality.

I think you all know Roo's game too well when i go to the Footy with mates from other clubs they think he's a gun and complain about their forwards. Gehrig was a beautiful kick but he still missed. It also depends on where roo kicks from-he gets a case of the stewie loewes 20 meters out directly in ...

I have been trying to think who on our list Id be glad to give up for GCFC. We must be in good shape list wise as I cant think of any Id like to give up off the top of my head. They are either promising youngsters that I want to see more of or handy depth for the core team. Just putting it out there...

How many games has he played he seems to have only played 40-50 games even though he is a mature player and very few together and in one position. His role is as a fill in utility and we all know our gap filler players like blake get a great run from the fans. I still think he has posibilities but i...

The miserable 'supporter'

I agree I havn't been on saintsational for long and still can't believe how negative the posters are. I got on hoping to talk up our chances of another top 4 finish but found most people only see disaster ahead. I feel for Fiora too he copped it from Richmonds rabid fans and then the saints fans- he...

To all the booers on Sat night

Hate to tell you but since the hawks took out Geelong with the rolling zone switches, chipped around kicks handballs etc. will be around all year. The good news is when Riewoldt gets back to some quick leads and safe hands, it places us better than teams with slow moving targets. Shane Crawford poin...

Xavier and Raph Clarke

Jason Gram could not get his hammys right at brisbane and harves had a couple of bad seasons with his hammys.

I live in hope they will both come good. Raph was out of form more than injured for good parts of his 6 years.

It's good to see an optimist on a fan forum. I'm cautiously optimistic as well -at least till the end of the first quarter anyway. As long as we don"t do a Richmond my optimism should take until at least rd 3 to start breaking down. Well anyway under RL I usually get it back by about rd,21. Lik...

Heard on SEN that Goddard is out of the team against Swans

SEN reported that Brendan Goddard rumors have been coming off the sms and email saying he's out with a hammy.

Club responded that he's in but sounded like they could be lying.

Hope its one of those rumors that get around without basis- he's the one player I cant wait to see this season.

I think people thought similarly about Baldock once and his experiences at St Kilda wont the greatest. Id hate to see Harves stay away from the club after that sort of experience. He gives himself the opportunity to be in a position to take over the coaching one day without being an inexperienced co...

Robert Harvey has to go out in the big bad world to learn his craft, it is a shame it has to be the Princess Park pricks. But if he doesn't go out and explore beyond the front gate he'd be like a bloke that marries his sister- he'll limit the gene pool too much. I would not want him learning from RL...

Poor kid he didnt get much support from the mids. Carltons midfield linked ran and tackled better than richmond's. The tiges bombed it in and hoped one of their gun forwards could create some magic Riewoldt and Morton are good but they lack stars in all positions Richmond. Apart from Foley and Richo...

Can't help but agree Chris Judd's outside footy work looks like a bit of Jack Elliott all over again. As for Carlton I wish they had been banished from the AFL for their dirty ways. I hope they all catch syphilis from each other and cant make it out on the ground.

I wish people would get off Gwilt as well, he is a pinch hitter thrown in when no one else is available. I would be surprised if he has played 40 games and not too many in a row and not in the one position. He could be anything but he has never had a spot given to him to make his own week in week ou...

It's enough to turn you to drugs

I hope the saints watched carltons game last night and saw the joy you can get by playing your natural game instead of lock down negative footy. RL reckons he doesnt coach them to do it. I hope they get them selves on a roll and build some optimism for 2009. Quick ball movement through the corridor ...

Forward set up

Im hoping Jarrod Allen can show a bit when hes back. But Rhys Stanley looks like he has a bit of Hammil about him judging from the Youtube clips- holds the ball in, runs down players. Maybe what we need is a player who can stop the ball going out. Gwilt could be good for that role. Hammil never cons...

IMO Mc Qualter, is a decent stopper and takes a good mid out of the game- last year he did the job well. You dont want your good players wasted negating. Blake kills Adam Goodes -sydneys best player and not playing one of the young guys with under 20 games in a match we start favorite would be crazy...

It goes to show NAB cup brings attention to a club. After last year they all had us winning a flag and we were everywhere. We embarrassed them all last year now we are paying for their ignorance. It might work in our favor if the team doesn't believe the hype and go in hard with something to prove.

Did any one see todays Age (24 March 2009.) 2009 time capsule "expert" piece? Caroline Wilson has her top 8 as Geelong, Bulldogs, Carlton, hawks, port, Collingwood, Richmond, St Kilda. She thinks lance franklin will kick 115 goals and thinks the Big Issue of the year will be St Kildas Woes...

The saints are easy to compare to geelong but the saints under GT had alot of their talent already aging like Harves, Gtrain, Hamill, Peckett, etc. while these guys were running around for us we topped up and apart from the rewards from our draft reaping years when we got an injection of youth. geel...

Geary, Eddy and Armitage all look the goods and I am hoping they all come on as it has been awhile since we developed a good young player. Most kids take some time to settle in, and the best way is to get games into them. Goddard was given time to develop because he was a no.1 pick these guys wont g...
