Re: Freeman Again
Poor bugger cant take a trick. Saints medical have been very conservative with him for a reason obviously. Lets hope it just another little blip in the start of a lengthy career with the Saints!

Re: Saints v Giants match thread
Very disappointing. Poor execution, woeful kicking and not being able to stand on the two feet god gave them, killed us. Oh, and the played from behind all day. Plenty of room for improvement and Goddard,Acres and Eli. Totally agree. I wonder what our training loads were last week? The entire team l...

Re: VFL Rd 3 Sandringham Vs Footscray Sat 23rd- Streamed
Thoughts on game: Good solid win by Sandi against a good opposition! People complaining about the Saints not having input to the Sandringham set ups can stop worrying. Hudson gave Longer and Pierce heaps of time up forward today, even when Minson was dominating Holmes. BOG Templeton, Gresham, Cu...

Re: Soft free kicks in last Qtr for Hawthorn
The Hawks lifted in the last and the Crows panicked and went into their shell, very similiar to us the week prior. They had the impetus but it still doesnt excuse some of the frees they receive in front of goal. Umpires still expecting them to win and call that way!

Re: Hugh Goddard
Plenty of time for Hugh to work on his game. He is 19 and obviously still growing and filling out, like Paddy he is going to be a beast when he grows into his frame. Have patience he will get there when we need him!

Re: 15 Metre-gate
Doesnt surprise this has been an issue since the game began - yet the idots at AFL still believe these cretins are impartial. I also heard he is a Civil Engineer I bet his company are also involved in the Hawks Dingley move?

Re: Thank this bloke for our loss today
That 15 y/o umpire in the last quarter did everything but cheer the Hawks across the line, with two disgraceful decisions. That was the difference in the game at the end disgraceful umpiring.....
Well played Saints ... should have won that game very unlucky!

I was another who was critical of him, his lack of speed and urgency, but I am pleased to say I was wrong. He was sublime against the Pies and is a real chance to take over the No 1 inside mid mantle...

Simple the team wasnt ready to go in Round 1 - plus the Bulldogs game was a major wake up call!

Re: Tom Lee
Our results from the previous 8 games since Round 17 last year have been appalling - a draw and 7 losses, with our percentage being 53% from those games. And we still have essentially the same back half we used in those games. Given we have Carlisle to come back next year, and with Goddard we have ...

Re: Josh Bruce - Contract watch
Hopefully this will be a load off his mind and he can recapture some of last years early season form. He is a solid player but I think teams have worked out that if you dont give him a clear run in marking contests he doesnt have a lot of other strengths. For a big guy he needs to get better and mor...

Re: Round 3 team. Bring out the Minch.
How poorly do Dunstan & Geary have to play before they're dropped? The clubs team selections are starting to become as farcical as they were in the Lyon era.
