AFL set to screw the Saints...again!

http://realfooty.com.au/news/news/good-friday-game-next-year/2007/08/31/1188067369729.html But the AFL was bracing itself yesterday for several disputes as a result of its Good Friday plans - not least from Geelong and St Kilda, whose chiefs two years ago approached AFL chief executive Andrew Demet...

I booed him, and am not ashamed for doing so. It was NOT to get back at Carlton, it was because I boo every ex-Saint, whatever the reason for leaving. Maybe I'm too one-eyed for my own good, but I'll do what I damn well please. That's a bit harsh about Lappin...We sacked him! Hardly his fault...if ...

Geez, Dan...It's lucky that Pharlap is enclosed in a glass cabinet at Melbourne Museum otherwise you'd spend all day flogging him too!

Was there any need to open up a new thread on this when you've already raised the issue in the Buchannan thread?

Buckenarra.

He would have been kicking from well outside 50 but the 15m penalty made it a 40m kick. Gimme for him.

Pity really as that decision gifted Carlton the grand final. Melbourne would have been a real show that year.

My understanding of the three strikes policy for recreational drugs applie to out of season testing only.

If a player tests positive in season for recreational drugs he faces a 12 week ban.

If if tests positive to performance enhancing drugs, he is gone for two years...(either in or out of season).

The bottom end of our list, including some players that regularly play senior football are not good enough. We have a terrific top end of our list. That will win you some games but we are lacking players to step-up when our top liners have an off day. Look at the Aussie cricket side...They do not re...

The others I agree with but this is not true.

Max was fine...he was first injured in the pre-season well after Ross took over.

Attard is a promted Rookie therefore he cannot be delisted until the end of next season. He either gets promoted to the senior list or dropped back to the Rookie list. Brookes, Sweeney and Raymond should go. That's not my understanding of how the rookie list works. You are able to keep them for two...

Can't afford to carry a rookie? Our rookies are Clint Jones Luke van Rheenen Robert Eddy James Wall Jarryn Geary Jayden Attard Thanks for pointing out our rookies to those that didn't know. The rookie list should not be used to carry players with no output or hope for promotion. The rookies on this...

Let's hope Jayden makes a full and speedy recovery. Rookie list him if we must...but definitely not take him in the draft. Some good posts about Gehrig retiring - I'm starting to realise he's not going to be part of our next premiership, and that's what we have to aim for. I'd think about trading h...

Time to really consider the future of some players

Well only a minor miracle will see us in the eight. It is time to ponder the future of some of our players: Jason Blake I'm not really sure what purpose he serves in the team. His skills and pace are not as good enough to be on the ball. He is not big enough to be a defender. Matthew Clarke Ended up...

Fact is that the 50m penalty was there! Stupid play by Vossy then. Absolutely no need to drag the player to the ground. Gifted them a goal. Not that it would have mattered...we have to be THE worst side I've seen at killing the ball on the last line of defence. WCE got too many goals tonight because...

I agree on tonight's performance  The only time I thought the coach made an error was in the last goal by Le Cras when we had no one inside defensive 50. Maybe they knew how long we had to go and that we would not have had time to rebound it. But anyway...our disposal was ordinary tonight fro...

Judd should be out (suspended ) for eye gouging for the next six weeks. What a farce that Campbell Brown got 15, 000 dollars for lying... Why did the tribunal not then suspend Judd on the light of new evidence that Brown WAS eyegouged - I bet they would have re convened and gives bakes 12 weeks if ...

The whole In Play / Behind Play category was scrapped for this season.

The grounds we should use are that no reasonable body could find anyone guilty on the evidence presented. Blocking a player's run has never been rough conduct. And it should never be rough conduct.
