I barack for St Kilda and ......

.........whoever is playing Collingwood. Why do I hate the Filth so much, and yet I have respect for Geelong.

About bloody time, Gilbert can run around and pretent he's Roo. He is creative, has pace and a great tank. Fisher and Goddard are needed in the back.

Yeah K, there were a few good signs. The Bombers, like the Blues last week, blitzed us for pace, and Zac got completely smashed, but there were good points. Kosi moved well, Gilbert moved forward, and the boys showed they were prepared to take the game on. If we had of converted some set shots, we ma...

We got smashed in the ruck, with no center clearances, so we were always on the defensive. But we had all 18 players in the back half, and when we did get the ball, we had NOBODY to kick to. Hence we were forced to stuff around. I thought Kosi presented well, but he is a traditional lead-up forward,...

Sorry Stinger, I've endured decades of watching sub-standard St Kilda teams getting outplayed, but the past few weeks has just been horrible, ugly football. There were numerous occasions tonight where we just didn't have anybody in the forward line. It's no wonder we wern't kicking goals, and it's n...

Fear of Failure

For the majority of last nights game, our guys were "locking down" and "zoning off" Port in the middle and back half of the ground. When we did win the ball, our own forward line was vacant, so we were forced to stuff around with the ball, chipping sideways and backwards and reta...

Opponents are 3-1

Sydney, Collingwood & Freemantle are all in the Top 6 on the ladder, with three wins and one loss - all against St Kilda. We still havn't played Geelong, Brisbane or the Bulldogs, and even without Roo I reckon we have a better than even chance of beating them. Last year, our opponents had the ha...

Plenty in the footy world are beginning to realise Malthouse's time is up. The Sainter27 rant says what I feel, but gee, it's pretty hard to read. I'm with Solar here, break it up into three or four paragraphs, and give the post a relevant subject line.

Why do umpires hate Adam Schneider

Did he do something really awful in a previous life to the magots? The Filth scum put him in a headlock and body-slammed him to the ground late in the first quater about 20 meters from our goal, and the umpires paid holding the ball against him. Was he victimised when he was in Sydney, or is it just...

The Boundary line

Did anybody nottice the boundary line was moved in by about one metre? It is normally where the grass meets the artificial stuff, but last night it was a meter inside. That's about 500 square meters less playing surface!

5. Gilbert (Brownlow potential)
4. Gwilt (possibly his best game)
3. Gram (broke lines with penetrating kick)
2. Baker (when the going gets tough)
1. Goddard (class raises to the top)

Gilbert would be highly desired by the new Gold Coast team, given his age, ability and Surfers upbringing. It would be comforting to learn the he was signed by the Saints for the next three years. Can anybody advise his contractural status?

Matt McGuire 100th game

It feels all wrong to recognise McGuire's 100th game. Normally I have no time for opposition players, but 99 of those games were for the mighty Saints, and I for one would have loved to keep him on our list. He would have gone pretty close to a game for the Saints this weekend. It's with a heavy hea...

Tony Lockett was the best footballer I have ever seen, possibly the best of all time. Ian Stewart was all class, even in this modern era he would be a stand-out superstar. Nick Riewoldt has added a new dimension to the game, and must be included in the top three St Kilda players of all time. Look wh...

Says on SEN that he'll be baracking for Roo to win the Brownlow, and the Saints to win the flag.

Says he grew up a passionate Saints fan.

Not enough from a few players, Eddy, Schnider and possibly Milne, but dare not drop both Milne & Scnnider. Armitage gets the ball a lot, Geary & Steven have pace, and Dempster would be solid at half back. I'd drop Schnider, move Mini into a forward pocket and bring in Armitage. Move Raph to ...
