Hind to debut then
I'll jump in and make an out-there statement: given that we need maturity and leadership in the backline, why not play Armo as a short-term, sort of like-for-like replacement for Gears?????

Re: Why Austin Logan not playing in the JLT?

Yep, my thoughts too. I understood that he was a targeted recruit specially for "insurance" backup for KP defenders. So, either the recruiters mis-read his talent or the unexpected development of Joyce and Battle has leap-frogged Austin. Has anybody been watching training closely enough to...

And one last thing.... Sam Alabakis Remember that name Yeah he was at the AGM Tuesday night - he is so tall he almost needs his own weather forecast. Very big boy. Did you notice the video of Roo presenting the jumpers to the new recruits? When he shook Alabaskis' hand, it seemed to be the first ti...

Certainly seems worth a serious look and deserves another opportunity. Re: Delisted FA's

Whoever we pick isn’t going to be perfect otherwise they would still be on their original clubs list. I think we look at the strength they provide and whether it’s soemthin where in short supply of and wether we can live with or improve their weakness. I think the top three areas that people compla...

Re: Paddy dropped nearly 10kg

The most interesting comment to take from that article (that otherwise is mainly the usual pre-season spin) is from Ratten commenting about his role at the club: "I've been given more responsibility at the Saints, which is what I was looking for, and really pleased to be there." The whole ...

I don't think there's been one mention of who we HAVE got in the trade period and pick swaps in the "Saints trade thread". Can anyone enlighten us in this thread? Henneberry & Kent in Lonie Weller & Longer still no contracts for 2019+ But Lonie has just been offered the 2nd year t...

Re: Sexton contracted for another year...drat!!

I have had a look at the list of coaches on the Club website. It is interesting that Ratten is listed (as a Senior Assistant Coach) just below Richardson and ABOVE Sexton (the Director of Coaching). The other coaches then are listed in what appears to be seniority. Maybe I am reading too much into ...

Re: Max King Highlights - Just Sayin

Sorry, but I am very underwhelmed by that video package. As has been pointed out - it is highlights from a single game (at TAC level, not even the interstate carnival) and it shows his clangers and slow-paced work rate as well as a few ordinary marks and some very dodgy kicks. Tell me again; why are...

Yeah, but we'll insist they take Jack Steven and next years first rounder as a package.

OK, so if Mav were to go to GC (which sounds like a plausible possibility) what would we get in return if he is out of contract?? Nothing ?? At best a potential 3rd round pick swap with Mav and our 4th round? OK, thanks for that. At least we would get something. I was wondering whether he could wal...

Re: Article in today's Australian (firewall warning)

I just love how people write these articles based on a preconceived 3-2-1 system. Brown did 'exactly what the coaches wanted' most of the games he played in - which means he scores highly and consistently. It does not mean he is in the 10 best players on the team, it just means that he did what he ...
