I think there is a freak-elite, they are the guys who can swing a match in their team's favour in a quarter. The freaks who kick 4 goals in quarter, or do nothing all day then set up or kick goals in the last 10 mins of a match. They are the guys who get you over the line in must-win matches. Here's...

Reiwoldt is the only current elite player we have.. I'm not looking at past form of players, and some of our guys are very good on their day, but not the champs some make them out to be. A few of the younger brigade especially Gram, SFisher, Gilbert will improve again next year.

There's winners and losers, whether you deserve it or not. The best team won the flag in '66. When you look at that team, we were balanced across most lines..Bob Murray at FB in great form, Cowboy Neale kicking goals, Moran with penetrating kicking on the run, Synman across HB, Baldock on wobbly kne...

What to do with Dal

I'm a bit worried about how NDS is progressing - great skills but after a few seasons, has still not learnt the art of breaking taggers and is tagged out of so many important games..seems a real one-paced player who doesn't lift when needed. Once tagged, he is a goner in our engine room. I would put...

All I can say is lets see what develops over summer with RL and his coaches settling in after the first year and with the players geting used to his style. I'm sure the fitness conditioning thing is very high on the priorities.

I notice Geelong lose a couple of key players and lose the game- it's not necessarily all about fitness. Quality of players is a important -if you have a team of 18 superfit athletes who are ordinary footballers, you won't win many games, you need a balance of quality, fitness and of course, luck wi...

Consistant form from individuals and the team wins games and premierships, no up and down, one week hot, one week cold stuff. Presuming we won't crack the flag this season, I expect RL will keep those who he reckons he can build a premiership team with.

Sympathy to J. Attard. But players like Gehrig are not helping the cause unless they produce under pressure in must-win games, same goes for Milne. Retire Gehrig and delist Milne. M Clarke is past it, and X Clarke for all his skill will never play out a full season due to chronic injury problems and...

Our list has deficiencies, though in 2004 we got on a run and gained confidence, but the Prelim against Port showed our deficencies which I think are still there. We lack a consistant strong crumbing forward or two, another strong running midfielder and another good big bodied backman and ruckman wh...

It means that when a player such as Baker gives his view of the "incident" he is deemed to be lying by the AFL. Clearly a premeditated outcome regardless of how much evidence was given.

The more the AFL brings down this kind of outcome, the deeper a credibility hole they dig for themselves. Usually in a legal system its innocent until proven guilty, but in AFL land it's guilty and that's that or if it's an infringment against a ST.Kilda player, especially head-high tackles and deli...

I reckon we should just go the biffo against the sacred cows of WA, keep the kangaroo court AFL tribunal busy with more nonsense decisions..St. Kilda player holding the ball --10 weeks penalty due to holding the ball in the past!!!! Lets have Boo fest..boo the stinking, rotten old-boys club known as...

I'm trying to imagine the logic of the AFL tribunal system and here's some examples of the way they must think.. Example 1.: Man convicted of drink driving is walking down the street, an old lady on the other side of the road falls over and hits her head on a parked car and sustains a nasty gash to ...

Woefully inconsistant is the tribunal system. It's unfortunate that our guys receive serious head unjuries (Ball, Kosi) which are always accidents or unintentional -bullS%^t!!! OK Baker made some kind of contact, but now I urge the managment of St.Kilda ro stand up for once, and show some leadership...

This will be a ploy by Freo until they can find someone in their club who saw anything in Freo's favour. How's this for a headline: "Brisbane Lions former star sees an incident with Baker and Farmer but didn't see it"

Maybe someone can jog my memory.. if two interstate teams play each other and a player from each team gets reported for punching each other, do they both get off automatically on a technicality?

Another plus for Birss -we're a bit short on players who have good foot skills and can deliver the ball properly to forwards..he's no champion, but I'm sure he will always setup or kick a couple of goals while in the team, so he is worth a spot.
