A step in the right direction for St Kilda. Maybe now we won't have guys like Armitage sitting on the pine for most of the first half of the season for Casey. Gee, that was really good for his development, wasn't it - not to mention his overall fitness? Put a St Kilda man in charge and be done with ...

Geelong's depth? When has it been tested this year? They've had no more than two regular players missing from their team for the whole year. In fact, for most of the time they've had only one player missing. Pretty much the same at North Melbourne. Much easier to look like a super-team in those circ...

Judd is not the answer to our prayers. For God's sake, one player does not make a football team. It was like all that nonsense when Sheldon put just about every player up for trade to try to get Greg Williams all those years ago. Better to focus on securing our remaining uncontracted players and set...

A guy I work with was at a restaurant recently, and three Essendon players were at the next table. From all reports, these guys were less than compimentary about their former coach. One of the players was an extremely high-profile player of impeccable character and another was a disgruntled ruckman.

A scenario that's almost plausible:

Goddard to Carlton for pick 3.

Don't get too excited folks. This is Ken Sheldon handling it, remember.

I suppose he'll fax a list of just about every player in our top twenty and tell the Eagles to choose whatever they want.

Dream on, Kenny. It's not going to happen.

With our salary cap being as it is, Judd will not be coming to us.

Anyway, with his OP, West Coast may have had the best of him.

The fitness of the players in recent years has had more to do with the previous coach (who was football manager also) than the board. Since the previous coach's departure, they have poured more money into the football department. Remember, important funds were diverted into very expensive end of sea...

Yep, all interesting points Meher and Kaos. It's what makes the thing so confusing in some respects. Outside of the debt clearance, I suppose the pertinent questions are: Why is our revenue so poor? Why has there been such a mess regarding the Mooorabbin re-development plans? Why appoint Ken Sheldon...

With such a history of poor financial management, it was important for the current board to clear the debt. I'm not saying they've performed perfectly in all facets of the club, but unless the debt was cleared, we faced treading water in any case. The current board needs to provide a clear plan to m...

How Rod can get my vote

1. Employ a new football manager, with Ross Lyon fully consulted in the selection process (ie Sheldon goes) 2. Provide assurances that the recruiting budget be tripled and steps put in place to have a topline network of recruiters employed across the land 3. Provide us with a realistic and achievabl...
