Re: Observations
I think your analysis is spot on. There was a lot to get excited about. I wonder whether this was a watershed moment for us and we will look back at the win in years to come as the turning point for the club. Not so much that we won but the way we went about it. The Bombers were missing some good p...

Re: Observations
Really disappointed that this great positive thread is going to be jacked by the tiresome, done to death Hickey bashing meme. FGS BigMart give it a rest. Hickey didn't dominate but play a significant role last night. Was roundly critisised in qtr 2 for dropping off Ryder and allowing him to mark unc...

Re: September bound?
Highly unlikely. It is a marathon and the kids will get tired. There will be a few more 12+ goal floggings this year, but it is very exciting to see kids like Billings, Dunstan, ELi, Jack Newnes ets coming through. Also pretty happy with early season form 3 or wins is about as many as I thought we m...

Re: Long kicking - Gwilt and Webster
I would add Jack Newnes into that as well. His 45-55 metre kicks up the line and cross field were marvellous.

Re: well coached Richo
Good thread, commentators kept mentioning how well setup we were. I like the fact that we had the guts to leave Watson free and he wasn't that damaging, he's destroyed jones in the past when he's dragged him to full back. Things might have been a bit different if Goddard & bellchambers had play...

Re: Farren Ray...you're a saint champ!!!
Not sure who bags Faz? His occasional sloppy disposal aside, he's a real solid player In the first qtr he was nearly our best? Many wanted him either traded or delisted in the off season. Always thought him a solid player but has played really well this season. Very smooth runner, and disposal not ...

I am happy to admit when I am wrong. My ego isn't so fragile and my insecurities so great that I have to deflect and make stuff up to cover my obvious miss call.
I WAS WRONG AND AM HAPPY TO SAY SO.
