Re: Who Makes Way
CJ is a quality stopper and Ray has found another gear - yeah he's doing OK too (Gears that is). Sippa or Cripper might be vulnerable, but for mine, the guy with number 1 on his back is the number 1 pick to paly with Sandy. Gram hasn't been attacking the footy like Gilbert does and can't take one of...

Re: Geary = Courageous
Sorry SainterK. As much as I admire and respect your opinions, the boy is far from an automatic selection. Great courage, but serious deficiencies elsewhere. At the risk of raising the ire of an SS legend, I doubt he'll make it in the long term. I reckon Gears has established himself as an automati...

Re: Roo's 3qrt time dummy spit and follow on affect
No excuse for Roo to be pissed. People in glass houses.... - you know the saying. I saw Roo go off at Jacky boy as well. It was in the 3rd quarter and Jack had won the loose ball just before it went out of bounds. Instead of kicking it to Roo, who was leading into the pocket, Jack went to bomb it to...

Re: Geary = Courageous
Mum here. Very proud of my boy tonight. ;) Seriously though, I hope JJ is OK. Nobody can question his spot in the side now, he has cemented it well and truly IMO. Very happy for him.... His courage and his attack on the footy came when the game was in the balance. Gears actions personify the differ...

Re: Armitage still can't manage consistency !
Just doesn't seem to be able to elevate to the next level... Had a lot of time now. Last year he did string consecutive games for the first time in all his years with us when Lenny went down....in any case, having a lot of time under a coach who is sh1t at developing young players doesn't mean sh1t...

Re: Lenny Hayes is Jesus
I reckon with Roo's career we need to look at his impact to the team throughout his 200+ games, and I guarantee you he's been more influentual in games he's played and in our winning culture than any other player during his time at the Saints. Add to that Roo's impact as the captain during the Lyon ...

Re: In defence of Nettlefold
Lyon coached us to a 20-2 home and away season where both losses were by less than a kick ...... His legacy reflects an overriding theme of poor development and lack of opportunity provided to youngsters throughout his tenure. The board and the CEO were not responsible for team selection. That was ...

Re: An IDEA for the Swans game !!
Goddard to full forward is a good move - he us struggling around the ball! Not if you go by the votes on here. BJ will never make a FF. Isnt quick enough on the lead and cant take contested marks. He is and will always be a player who plays his best footy when he is behind the ball and it is also b...

Re: Milne
I still think Milne is lost in the new forward structure. People have short memories, taking out the Blues game, he's had a really poor season by his standards. He's not a typical crumbing forward, he is far better on the lead than he's given credit for. Thats why playing a medium defender on him i...

Re: Saints v west coast game thread
Saints players before the match started were the victims of some seriously potent weed. It was originally obtained from some of the egirls explayer mates up in the wheatbelt area around the midwest of WA and they've been trialling a method of producing an odorless and invisible gas out of this stuff...

Re: Saints v west coast game thread
to our defence our back line is not as it should be... no Fisher or gwilt... and now our ruck is our no Ben no Stan the man... so as much as this sucks we're not full strengh. this dosn't excuse the current mid's effort to the ball. I think the coaches haven't got the match-ups right either. Dempst...

No they don't. They're havin a go!! Look at the guys in the team who can't get their hands on it, or who don't have an impact. The blokes you mentioned have tried their guts out

Re: Saints v west coast game thread
Dumb football when we have an opportunity to score. Their hunting us in our forward 50. Smart football by them. They spread and get clean possession out, then deliver with precision to blokes on their own. We have to lift, but gees I think I hear someone warming up their voice

Re: Rossy's mob getting a nice old touch up by Hawthorn
I hope anyone who thinks we should have hung on Zac has watched this game. monsterred? No. He had 4 goals kicked on him and the Hawks had all the play. Impossible for their backline. For those that don't get the Triple M radio commentary team broadcast; they get one of the ex-players to give a 1,2,...

I loved the look in Armo's eye's after he kicked that long goal on the run against the scum...He thought to himself; "YES!! I did it!!" Armo - you've arrived! I reckon he will have a blinder against wet toast. I hope Wilkes gets a couple of goals and can play a good game in front of the re...

Re: Justin Koschitzke has kicked.............
Kosi is back in form...and it is not just his kicking, but his marking. His one grab marking disappeared last year. It it coach encouragement? Somehow I doubt that as Lyon was a big Kosi fan. I suspect it is mainly that he is just much fitter with fewer niggles that has allowed him to get his mojo ...

Re: Justin Koschitzke has kicked.............
I am not a RL apologist. I unlike you understand footy. That is clearly proven when you say Kosi has kicked straight because of a new coach but then come up with some crap about Rooy. It is quite embarrassing. You need to read AFL for dummies again and again. Just maybe it is their kicking skills t...

Re: Justin Koschitzke has kicked.............
Helps when the coach utilises his strengths, our game plan is more attacking - not sideways and backwards footy- and coaches gameplan includes someone positioning themselves in the traditional spot where a FF should be. Interesting theory. Why isnt Rooy kicking straight then. You need to get over i...
