Re: If you think Dermie's a flog, well you're probably right

Paddy's contested marking was very good. How he took the ball at the top of his jump was great. Leads well. He is not bad when it hits the deck, probably better than Hogan. His ball handling and field kicking very good. He gets in to tackle and lock the ball in. What does seem to be missing at the m...

Re: hall of fame

There will be the usual token nomination(s) of some SA or WA coodabeens who never tested themselves in the big league. - Won all sorts of accolades in their goldfish bowl but too scared to play in the ocean. Meanwhile champs like TB and Buckets will be overlooked. Spoken like someone who never watc...

Do you mean where the figures quoted in the paper came from?
It says it 'raked in' 2.0m. Not an accounting term. I wonder if that is turnover?

Would love to know exactly how much they're making out of the machines. If we accept that we are not going to grow that revenue stream (or maybe slightly at the margin) then the PR win alone with the local community and members from getting rid of them could end being worth a multiple in value to t...

Blight on society, just like illicit drugs.

Ruined many a good pub too. Not to mention the live music scene in this town.
Love going into interesting looking pubs when I'm back home. But I often find them full of pokies. Straight back out the door,

Re: Moorabbin - Trouble Ahead

I gather that the problem the pokies activist sees is that it is proposed to be a Junior Footy hub. If Pokies get through....and personally I hope they don't.....they would want to be well away from where Juniors are. Not the worst thing to want. This Pokies chap is a very committed loyal Saints mem...

Re: 2015 a success?

I agree. That is how I'm looking at it. Port looked a basket case two years ago, the Dogs didn't have too many supporters before the season. Not sure we will come steaming out like those two, but a bit more time and recruiting and we'll go past quite a few others. More pre-seasons and mature AFL bod...

What happens to this thread if we win? Anyways hysteria aside if you read the op it does insinuate one game is more important to us than the other. Do I have an issue with that if true? I honestly don't know by know to be honest. Half of me thinks of the business side of things and the strategic lo...

Apologies if someone mentioned this before. I seem to remember it being mentioned that Josh Bruce was elite athlete material because he had done some rowing when he was younger. That sets up serious aerobic capacity and strength. Or did I dream that? Pretty sure it was Josh. http://www.geocities.ws...

I think that was the Test I also caught up with Plugger14. We were quite a pair. Me in my MCC outfit, and Plugger in his sleev...

I have been on this site since the beginning. I spend more time at BF these days as I tired of every discussion being taken over by a particular poster. Hijacked is one word that is used. This person has for some reason set themselves up as the conscience of the site. This style got taken up to an e...
