Remembering David Mackay cleaning up Hunter Clark -- no suspension.
Meanwhile, Pendlebury's gut punch -- no charge, of course.

Fraser Gehrig's Tummy Tap
With Pendlebury's gut punch roundly being dismissed by our esteemed pundits, anyone remember the one-match ban (downgraded from two weeks) copped by the G-train, then at the ehight of his powers, for giving Jason Cloke a "tummy tap"? And that was nearly 20 years ago.

Re: The candy stripe returns
We're lucky at the Saints to have (a) a great home guernsey; (b) a great away guernsey; and (c) great alternative away guernseys (though I much prefer the candy stripes to the crusader cross and the German flag).
Compare that to the generally bland and/or hideous away guernseys of other clubs.

Re: Webster appalling
Forgive me for sniffing the raw stench of hypocrisy again. Now Webster was stupid and deserves to be rubbed out. But it wasn't long ago that Thug Maynard ironed out Brayshaw in a career-ending act and got ... absolutely no penalty. Now the same geniuses who claimed that was "a defensive action&...

A thug act that, in concert with a lenient tribunal decision, effectively won the Pies a flag. I suspect Maynard will be roundly booed from now on.

I liked Bytel though admittedly I don't monitor energy levels and capacity to spread -- things RTB obvioulsy prioritises.

Extremely accurate in front of goal (except in the GF sadly) and should have been retained despite other deficiencies, IMHO.

Re: Dan McKenzie
I suspect that after nursing Hannebury and others for years for practically zero return, the club made the decision to end its infatuation with injury-prone players.
Hence McKenzie, Billings & Gresham were all let go.

Deserves a chance to cement his position. Physically he seems less prone to injury than King sand we need another gun forward in future.

Re: Roughead resigns
The Saints bottomed out as GWS and GCS were soaking up the top draft picks. And even then we botched our selections. Tom Lee ... McCartin ... Billings ... Lonie ... etc. Difficult to make a silk purse out a sow's ear but Richo's bland playing style and inexplicable match-selection moves made for a p...

Pou played every game but was a long way from Ashcroft or Sheezel, and a very long way from first-season Buckley or Judd.
There's every chance he'll improve but let's hope sober heads are in charge.

Hayes
All in our top ten greatest and all from other states.
RTB would do well to remind our interstae lads of that.

Re: SEN listeners don’t rate us 📻
The SEN geniuses also see Melbourne sliding. Why? They could easily have won the flag, and probably would have had not thug Maynard ironed out Brayshaw. Plus they've recruited well. As for us ... Dow, Henry, Bonner, a slew of promising kids in this year's draft plus Hotton and Keeler in effectively ...

Re: Is Jack Sinclair a ‘First-choice midfielder’?
If Sinclair was RTB's "secret herbs and spices" when our questionable midfield was falling short, then I can't see why he shouldn't play there permanently if we have othersn to assist NWM in the rebounding half-back role. With Sinclair, Dow, Owens, a fit Steele and others in the midfield, ...
