Re: Nasiah
He has been very good, and yesterday he was very composed and involved. It was amusing seeing him standing near Sinclair at one point. Sincs has massive calves, while Nas has twigs! Re Stocker, interestingly Ross wasn't too complimentary about him in the press conference! RTB surprised me on that t...

Re: What do these inclusions mean?
And as to be expected King looks like taking closer to 20 weeks for rehab. The average is 16 to 20 weeks for his type of injury. Good on those who got sucked into the hyperbole from the membership department and thought he'd be back by R1 to R4, or even R7. After the bye I reckon is a possibility. ...

Re: Coaches votes North v St Kilda
Great to see NWM getting votes from both coaches.
Flying under the radar a bit given the impact of Owens and attention on Pou, but is starting to look like a real star already

Re: Motlop tackle on Howard
Not even a dangerous tackle Howard purposely hit his head on the ground trying to draw a free kick Good tackle well that is just parroting what the commentators said (was it BT??) but I think it is bulls***. How would you know if he did it on purpose?? I have no idea what Howard was thinking but to...

watch the video "all the goals" ... and you will see how many goals Butler was directly involved in (as well as the 3 he kicked himself)WellardSaint wrote: ↑Tue 25 Apr 2023 1:19pm I would've had Seb replace Butler.
Maybe Buts had more pressure acts?
Taking nothing away from Seb who was fantastic, but Butler had a great game

Re: the difference between this saints team and those from recent years.
A number of things have contributed, Not only Ross but the coaching team e.g. if Ross went to Carlton, he would not have had Enright, Hayes and Harvey as assistants, yet he attributes the game plan to them Another thing is our top 5 players so far have been: 1. Sinclair 2. Wilkie 3. Wood 4. Crouch 5...

Re: Is Caminiti in trouble?
In my opinion he’ll get 2 weeks. Murphy is out Anzac Day with concussion apparently. Was behind play off the ball Yes it was behind play but it was Murphy who initiated a box on... hitting Caminiti first... So it was hardly Caminiti who decided to engage "well behind the play" HE will get...

Re: Is Caminiti in trouble?
Murphy hit him first in a very similar action, with a jab to the face... Caminiti relatialited in kind but got him flush
Camininti will get suspended but Murphy should also get suspended for his hit on Caminiti.. I assume he will not

Re: Early days bur the Blues are weak.
In 2009 we had all time greats Roo, Dal, Hayes, BJ, Joey, Milne, Fisher in their prime! and a heap of excellent role players If you combined the two sides on Steele, Marshall, Wilkie, Sinclair and maybe Crouch would get a look in in the 23! garbage. We had a heap of average players in 2009 outside ...

Re: Caminiti
9 marks in his second game, playing as a KPF as a teenager.
If was a top 10 pick we would be pretty happy right now.
Showed more than the 2 bulldogs KPFs taken at pick 1 and 2 in 2020 and 2021 respectively

Re: Jack Peris - could play this year
Only recently turned 19. So similar age to a lot of 1st year drafteees. So this year remains development but it seems he is doing that: developing.
Would be very very interesting to see him out there putting pressure on. His pace is another level to anyone in the AFL system.

Watched "all the goals" on saints website and Phillipou was involved in a lot of them. 1. A well weighted kick forward to Marshal who handed to Cordy to Gresh... goal 2. Another long ball from half back to Caminiti who brings ball to ground,.. Higgins, Clark, Higgins goal 3. Marks and goal...

An interesting sideline to this post is: Who amongst our players has reached their full potential? I reckon it’s a small list - Wilkie, Sinclair, Webster, Ross, Crouch & Steele? Crouch apparently doing PBs in the running and in best shape of his career. Lets hope he can have a career best year....

Re: Gags going at end of 2022
"The Saints are known to have a tighter-than-expected cap after the moves to add some mid-tier players on decent wages." I dont understand this. Hannebury took a haircut in 2022 and is now off the books. Crouch wage was band 3, with crows getting a 2nd rounder Hill is in big bucks, but as ...

Never going never up for trade just dart throwing. He was never up for trade by the club but he wanted out desperately. He will be gone at the end of 2023. Not true. Try not to get too emotional but it appears to be very true. Any chance he still goes to North for a Future First (of Port)?
