Re: MMM makes me angry. Footy players are strong nonsense.
The measures put in now need to be sustainable for up to 6 months, shutting everything down for 2 or 4 weeks isn’t going to achieve anything (Chief Medical Officer Prof Brendan Murphy covered all this this morning). The footy is a write off, that’s fine. But we can’t have schools close and business...

Re: MMM makes me angry. Footy players are strong nonsense.
We all know China used pretty drastic lock-down measures, perhaps draconian, and achieved - cheating aside - some stability in terms of the spread. Now how insulting is it to listen to Eddie Mc Quire (who was tested a week ago - long before most of us even knew where or how to get tested) and Luke ...

Re: 17 Round Season
What utter over reactive bullsh*t! I see the NRL are proceeding with closed doors, better than slashing the season. It appears from reports, that AFL players are been dictated to by their Union regarding pay cuts and shortening of the season. I would suggest that the players insist they're available...

Bottom line is, who would he displace for Round 1 if we still had him? King, Battle, Ryder or Membrey?

Re: Freo player sent for tests for COVID-19
I think the Venn diagram of dunny roll hoarders and Herald Sun subscribers is just a single circle :D I think you'll find most of the morons panicking are more likely to believe all utterences by the media. Therefore, they are more likely to be on Facebook, Twitter and watching the ABC/Studio 10. T...

Re: Freo player sent for tests for COVID-19
On this topic, if anyone here knows or comes across a d**khead who is raiding Supermarkets and hoarding toilet paper, its your duty to call them a gigantic f**kin idiot. That's what I'll be doing. I have never seen this sort of panic and general d*ckheadry and these clowns need to be told. If you tr...

Re: Is this the team for round one?
Its going to be tough for the selectors. Here's mine, I'm giving Carlisle the nod ahead of Roberton because I think Roberton is a tad underdone in regard to match conditioning. B: Geary Howard Wilkie HB: Long Carlisle Clark C: Hill Dunstan Billings HF: Butler Membrey Gresham F: Ryder King Lonie Ruck...

Seriously, good luck to him but he wouldn't get near our best 22 for round 1.

Re: Everybody loves Rita? Not me, not anymore.
To be fair, you can't disagree with alot here (I'm not a fan of hers one way or the other btw). I'm surprised that the Vic govt paid for the game rights. The only thing that would be up for contention is if both teams are doing well in the lead-up to the fixture as it would then make it a "fir...

Re: The Elephant In The Room
After our first Marsh series game, a difficult question is, who makes way for Geary, Hannebery, Roberton and Jones. Our selectors will be earning their money. So where on earth would Petracca and Acres fit? At Sandringham?

Re: AFLW Saints celebrate first win!!
How good is this. Thursday we beat the Hawks. Friday the girls beat flag favorites Melbourne for their first win. Saturday we flog Seth Africa with Agar getting 5 wickets including a hat trick. I'm surprised by you, Saynta! T20? I thought you'd be as grumpy about that stupid, Americanzed version of...

I reckon Jack Billings will be our next Captain, so I think Geary will keep it for at least the next season.

A lot of frail masculinity floating round this thread! What a sexist remark (and tired cliche) I'm so threatened by a competition that has free admission and struggles to kick two goals in an entire game. Ok boomer. Another tired cliche. must be something in those 'tide pods' ? Tired cliche? Nah, d...

I knew Gawn was injured, but personally I'd pick Roma ahead of Gawn regardless.BarryGrogan wrote: ↑Thu 06 Feb 2020 9:01pmHe only came in (if in fact he did) because Gawn did his knee. To me its obvious, Roma is already better than Gawn. Gawn is a whiny soft hipster. Bumped into Max at the G in a members bar at lunch during the Boxing Day test. Collegue asked him jokingly if his mum made him wear the Kiwi team shirt he was sporting.. the loser was blatantly NOT amused !! Yeah, he...

Re: State of Origin contenders
Marshal might be a chance if depends where Gawn is classified as Victoria or not, either way is possible as he ws born in NZ but moved over to Vic when he was like 1 or something. Hill easily in Billings and Ross maybes no one else a chance unless a lot pull out With Grundy the first Ruck, I'd pick...
