Re: if only Grasham could kick

Gresham is the poster child of our issues with player development (referring to kicking mechanics). How he's gone this long in our system and still has that kicking action beggars belief. But then again I could say the same for DMac, Battle, Kent, Geary, couple of others and I'll throw in Billings....

Re: The Butler-Higgins Combo

If Higgins starts nailing more of his chances he'll look like a star.

Butler succeeded in 2020 when the forward line opened up and let him run over the back into open goals. For whatever reason that hasn't happened in a while.

But yeah, it's not working so far.

Re: Midfielders draft or trade?

If a best 22 mid in the 23-26 age bracket was available I think we should go for them.

Re: Match Review

Steele had little impact on the game, which was surprisingly. Gresham played his best footy as a forward five years ago. His kicking around the ground has never been great.

Re: Higgins

He'll be excellent if he starts nailing those shots he misses. I hope it actually happens, sooner rather than later.

Yeah that's what I'd do. $25 per month from say 16 March (when round 1 starts) till mid September (6 months) = $150, plus whatever the membership costs.

Re: Dunstan shares trade period stress in new AFL documentary

Early in his career there were a million posts about him "oozing leadership". That changed along the way. I hope he does better in his move than Craig Devonport did when he went to Carlton.

Yeah you get a couple of months free if you sign up for a year, which would be good for people who are into other sports that are played during the AFL off season.

Yeah he's been very average for a year or two, but was pretty decent before that, without reaching any great heights.

My stream didn't work until half way through Harvey's speech. I'll have to try to catch the rest later. They've already put video up.

It's a brilliant channel, so many thanks to the creators of it, if they're reading. It's marvellous that they not only saved so much material over the years, but are going to the effort to make it available to the rest of us.

I'd play Membrey over Bruce. He's generally much more useful, except that he can't really be a relief ruck. If McCartin and King come good I can't see much of a future for Bruce, though I hope I'm wrong. King's youth will buy him a bit of time though. And who knows if Battle and Marshall will make i...
