Re: Match thread, Port in Shanghai
Well its time to play king and the million dollar man and any other kids. hopefully whoever replaces richardson after this week will do so. I feel like its all been orchestrated to tell you the truth. Biding time until there is not too much financial impact by sacking him. Still cant believe its th...

Re: Match thread, Port in Shanghai
Coffield too slow. I know he's only 19 but everytime I've seen him play, he's not up to AFL standard. Hasn't shown anything yet - he needs to get going soon or face the axe. I am afraid another wasted pick. He’s 19. Coaches need to give him and Hunter an extended run at some point and just give the...

Re: Match thread, Port in Shanghai
Both Ross and Dunstan have been ordinary. We’re getting smashed in the centre and they’re just letting them run away with it.

Coffield too slow. I know he's only 19 but everytime I've seen him play, he's not up to AFL standard. How do we really know? Has never been given an extended run at it... even today he was brought in late. At some point you have to make hard calls on some older guys to give younger guys an extended...

Re: Match thread, Port in Shanghai
Absolute rubbish another wasted year. And then you wonder why we cannot recruit high profile players at St.Kilda who would want to play for us. King will join his brother at Gold Coast rather than talk of his brother joining us. I have had enough of this club and the rubbish it presents to us year ...

Re: Match thread, Port in Shanghai
Why would Kent lead then. Why not just let Young go back and have a shot. FML. Could be one of the worst set shots in the team, seemingly only good on the set shot from a ridiculous angle. Misses all the basic ones.

Re: Match thread, Port in Shanghai
I cant believe with Ports forward speed the replaced McKenzie with Coffield and not Hind. Coffield is too slow and gets exposed to easily. Coffield is spectating. So is Phillips. Nowhere near hard enough at the contest today. Coffield and Phillips are list cloggers... just like Newnes, Sinclair, Br...

Re: Match thread, Port in Shanghai
Port’s pressure and speed in their forward half is killing us... but we have three big backs in Brown, Joyce and Battle.
Meanwhile down the other end our stalls are doing nothing and we keep bombing it long and letting the big port defenders mark it.
Try something different

Re: Match thread, Port in Shanghai
I’ve been against pushing Battle forward because he’s been so good down back.... but if ever there was a game to do it, surely today’s the day. How many intercept marks can we let their bigs take before we change something? didnt he wander down there late last week and nearly goaled. Went forward a...

I listened to bits and pieces. Caro was quite interesting on Richo - suggested he was (can't remember exact words but) "back to his bad old ways" over the last few weeks. If I heard right that he was over-anxious again or agitated or something like that. Caro talking s*** as usual. From h...

People have to be realistic, this isn’t the national draft, these are guys that have been overlooked for years. You aren’t going to find a classy outside mid.
But you might find a forward or athletic big who was a late bloomer.

Re: Robbo's likes and dislikes
Seb's weakness is he will never turn onto his right foot - watch closely, when the opportunity to break down the right with a quick kick appears he always looks left first, hesitates and ends up kicking sideways or backwards. When your team runs hard to open up space and you end up missing the oppo...

Re: Josh Battle and Carlilse
I really liked the way Battle went about it up forward last year with his hardness and lead up marking and I was actually envisaging him and Marshall being our future key forward set up (pre Max King). This was mostly due to poor Paddy not being able to get on the park. However, (perhaps less recog...
