Re: Sandy v Port Melb

It's ridiculous that the VFL season starts so late (15th April) compared with the AFL season. How are the reserves players supposed to prove themselves in game situations with this stupid draw? Not rediculous! You have to remember cricket finals are just finishing so grounds were/are not available....

Re: Two new Irish rookies

Joyce played both. Gaelic for his school and hurling for his county. The county doesnt have gaelic (it isnt popular there) he must have boarded in a different county. You cant count on him having pace and timing and being able to read the flow of play. Im backing him in to impress. Yes Darragh went...

Re: Two new Irish rookies

Dont worry, all guys play hurling and Gaelic in Kilkenny. It is just that he is better known as a hurler. Now that he is in a professional environment with specialist coaching he will improve his ball skills dramatically. He has all the attributes to make it, he just need time and patience. Remember...

I've already told you. Pay attention. Go back to my first post about it. Traffick and possess drug of dependence, handling stolen goods and theft of motor cars. Can't remember the sentences. It was 33 years ago. If you're so into him, why not give him a call and ask him? You seem a tad obsessed. Fe...

BTW hearsay is not a defence to a defamation action neither is seeing an alleged mug shot at Russell Street unless maybe you are a policeman who dealt with the case. If you are was he found guilty and if so what sentence did he receive.

Not an urban legend, WS. I remember seeing a mug shot of the young Franco at Russell Street in 1982. Young Italian stallion with a jet black, Elvis like quiff. Photo taken after he was charged with importing uncle dougs in furniture and handling stolen goods. Into stolen cars as well, I was told. A...

Loris, did Hal Todd work in TV? I am not old enough to have seen him, but I know the name, I think he introduced movies on Channel 0 Did a lot of radio work and compare stuff. I remember him from his Night Owl Theatre. Used to start about 11 pm and he would show a movie and it would finish at any o...

I have been inspired by Loris' wonderful story of growing up with the Barrot boys. Thanks Loris. It was fantastic. But I am also famous. Well maybe a tad. Perhaps a microbit. I went to school with Gary Rosewarne, who was the son of Keith Rosewarne, a prodigiously talented St Kilda rover. And to add...

Although I love the Saints and been a supporter since 1960, my real claim to fame (haha) is going to Primary School with the BEEGEES. I was in Grade 4 with Maurice and Robin and my sister in Grade 5 with Barry. My mum used to babysit Andy and our families were close. They went home to England and my...

2 notables I also went to high school with were: Keith Ryrie.......... luckily the monster was expelled after year 8 (I think it was). He murdered two young girls in 1966. Maureen Ferrari (aged 18), Rhonda Irwin (aged5). During his teenage years he'd been on rape charges.... but of course the crimi...

Re: cue in the rack? Im Excited

I hope Ricoh is as pissed off as most of us that Footscray won the flag. Hopefully the players are also and a miracle happens in 2017 but I doubt we can make that massive leap in one season Most people were happy that we won in 66, maybe people in those days were more gracious than you or <most of ...

Hey Saxons Congratulations to the recruitment team securing Nathan Brown as a restricted free agent. Do we know what compensation pick Collingwood will get for him. i think because the pies already drafted 2 free agents they get nothing. i could be wrong though. I think you may be on to something. ...

Re: Steele requests trade

According to the SEN player ratings he has never played a better game than 6/10. Generally a 5/10. Unproven over his first two years with obviously good potential but worth at very best a low second round pick you may be right but has he ever been in their best 18. Has always started on the bench a...

Re: Hartlett and Steele to the Saints

sorry @wombat15 cant figure out your reasoning. If we trade our first round and later picks and we dont have a second pick how do we stay in the first and second round. Are you assuming we trade several players to get Steele, Lamb, McKenzie and Hartlett.

Or are you just wishing?

Taking heart from an opposition team beating another opposition team? Good for you, perhaps go and support them Oh that's right, because they won it we can... Face facts in 09 we won 19 straight. DOMINANT team of season but CHOKED when it mattered - we kick straight and out 5-6 on the Cats and I doubt (against the best defensive side for decades) they get us We missed ,.... some from inside the goal square....think Schneider.... we blew it. It's actually a victory for risk taking believers over the incremental improvalists' school. They punted, so many didn't, they won, others were risk averse, good freakin' luck to 'em. Say that again. :?: :?:  I shouldn't have to, S, it's blindingly obvious - look at 'em - their defence is a ...
