Re: GT's palace in Brighton for sale!
I agree too but the Chinese don't seem to care and happily pay such prices if the postcode is 3186.

Re: GT's palace in Brighton for sale!
It will probably go to another Chinese buyer. Brighton house prices have gone through the roof so to speak and it's mainly due to foreign buyers but agents will say otherwise. Why wouldn't you want to cash in with the prices they are paying.

Re: Low key hard players that shun the media- Dogs had many
Have to take my hat off to Dogs and their group of players. Their hardness and 'do or die' attitude was a huge factor that scripted their win. Most of their players shun the media limelight and are down to earth, focus on onfield performance. Other than Tom Boyd, who 'stuck it right up everyone' in...

Re: Low key hard players that shun the media- Dogs had many
It's about courage, and passion, and a total lack of fear and a total commitment to do everything you possibly can for your team mates and for your family and for your club and your supporters. I think that's what you mean when you talk about hardness. Unfortunately our messiah coach did not unders...

Re: Congratulations Bulldogs
Face facts in 09 we won 19 straight. DOMINANT team of season but CHOKED when it mattered - we kick straight and out 5-6 on the Cats and I doubt (against the best defensive side for decades) they get us We missed ,.... some from inside the goal square....think Schneider.... we blew it. You can read ...

That's one of the gutsiest wins I have ever seen and the Dogs backline was under pressure with their tall timber.

He is a gun to be honest. Would have been perfect in a Saints jumper. Disagree. Wait until you see him in September. Will exhibit the same deficiency as Stanley. Has somebody hacked Tony's account? Usually one of the most sensible and measured posters on SS. What deficiency? Don't understand that o...

Re: Bulldogs No. 4
Its been 3 years and Billings will never be anywhere near the player of Bontempelli. Its like the Luke Ball, Chris Judd call. Trout has a lot of work to do to make up for that gaff! Would be quite happy for Billings to have a Luke Ball type career! What the other fellow does is irrelevant to us. Ye...

Re: Billings.
Billings' body has certainly been struggling a bit and that's the greatest concern with him. On the other hand, you see Bont and he has that natural, genetically stronger body. Funny thing is when you watched the highlights of both in the 2013 draft, Bont did look the better prospect overall from bo...

Re: Poor Wallis
I'm reminded of that appalling injury suffered by Goose against the West Coast Eagles. Was never the same player after that. I really do have sympathy for the Western Bulldogs footy club Back in the 90's, Dean Anderson broke a lower limb IIRC and was never the same afterwards. Tragically, I think a...

Re: Joey is cooked? Time to hang em up?
Good clubman but the way the team is developing by playing next year he will delay the development of another kid's career. The great Harvs had a lot more upside in his last year in 2008. Played a pretty good finals series and still retired. Montagna was always an outside player but now he really st...

Re: Joey is cooked? Time to hang em up?
Just watching the replay. Can't underestimate how important he is to the kids. Before they walked up the race onto the ground he was getting around every single player. Granted he's had a couple of less than spectacular games in the last few weeks but he is still so important to the group. Sure. He...

Re: Joey is cooked? Time to hang em up?
He plays the easiest role in footy... He should always have big numbers. It's the important plays that he needs to deliver on... As a senior player True. Good post. He goes missing in important plays. I felt both his 2009 and 2010 finals series were lacking and that was during his prime, so seeing ...

Re: Bulldogs No. 4
Sorry to be opening a can of worms by starting this thread but at the time of the draft I thought Bontempelli had a lot going for him and seeing him this year and in a full game tonight reinforces that exceptional talent. The scary thing is that this 20 year old has more upside to come once his impo...

Re: Poor Wallis
Yes really sad for Wallis. Feel more for the kid than the win. Bulldogs supporters have had it tough for so long even more than us. Would have rather seen them do well in finals than the other teams in contention.

Re: Bulldogs No. 4
Too early to call the better player IMHO. Sure he's settled in quickly, but Billings has the body of a kid still. Billings will improve but he is not quicker and will never get close to his body strength. Bonty has a lot bigger, powerful frame and is strong in the shoulders. Genetically he has the ...

Half his foot? Think your definition of half needs improvement. Nothing from just below the knee down. My apologies and I stand corrected here. Last time I saw him it did not seem that his whole lower leg had been removed. A wonder person Greigy, was the postie at Monash Uni before he became a regu...

my there are some tough critics here I don't think it's unreasonable for Hamil to have some bitter feelings about his exit... he wanted to give it a shot... AFL was his dream and he was forced out... rightly or wrongly doesn't matter Yes he was forced out because his body could no longer cope howev...

If his knee was any good when Ross stamped his papers he would have returned through another club… Spot on. He took a fair slice of the salary cap for the last 4 of his 5 year backended contract, with very little return. Thomas made some poor and short-sighted decisions that the club paid for dea...
