I saw most of Subi's games in 2007, they already had a strong base following from Peter German, so I didn't think Scott tinkered with it too much. They had Brad Smith, who was an excellent WAFL level FF, Sam Larkins as the second key tall, Blake Broadhurst, an up and comer. Then a strong midfield wh...

I didnt know that about Paul Lucas. That is huge stuff. Yep, 49 years old and he felt it was time for him to get out of politics and make way for the younger talents coming through!! Clearly soon we will have Premiers and Prime Ministers wearing hoodies and sporting body piercings. Actually Lucas i...

There was an article on AFL's website about each team's best four at centre clearances this season. Ours according to Champion Data are St Kilda: Ben McEvoy, David Armitage, Clinton Jones, Jack Steven. http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/117562/default.aspx Which is interesting c...

Is it snowing?

I'm assuming by the shocking accuracy that there is some sort of localised, internal snowstorm affecting the Dome in the first half. As I'm unable to view the game this is my summation of the reason for 7-14.
Can anyone correct me if I am wrong?

I have been ever since I met him when he first got drafted. I'll be texting him today to find out what's going on.

You need to look at his game time, he often get's less than 50% and struggles to get into the game when on.
When Cox was injured in 07 he played some great games.
He's a mate, so I'm biased, but he's a quality person with great character and could give a lot to a club.

I've thought/dreamt about this far too much actually (ask my wife). So great post. It's the GF, I'm in the crowd watching when someone from the Saints comes over and says someone's hurt themselves in the warmup and can't play. There's no one else available so you look like the sort who could give us...

When was the last time we traded a favourite?

I've been reading the posts about trading Dal and Kosi with interest. WHilst I'd like to see them perform to what they're capable of in years to come surely the club would be considering their value to the team. It would be due diligence to do this with all players. But I'm trying to remember the la...

The only thing we will get for Fiora, is some second hand witches hats.
They could come in handy. A club always needs witches hats.

A commitment from the players to Harv's

Of course the players should and are playing at their best and aiming to win always. But like all of us we have our off days.
I thought the players could make a collective commitment to Rob.

Just looking through the Rising Stars and the cupboard is a little bare. Gilbo round 16 last year then back to round 20 2003 for Joey.
So that must say something.

Just scrolling through the list to see if anyone remembered Rod Keogh...certainly one of the toughest I've seen.
A mate of mine played for the Dockers in their first year. Rod gave him this huge corkie in the thigh, then when my mate was writhing on the ground, gave him a huge spray for being soft.

It was great seeing him get quieter and quieter as the game went on!!!

What's parking like?
Are there traffic jams after the game?

Great discussion going on here. I think you hit the nail on the head Meher by saying we want a supremely talented team giving 150%. But like you said, it's impossible. I think it's important to recognise that any one running onto an AFL field has more talent than 99% of the population. I still wonde...

I was going to buy tickets at the game, then looked on the ticketek website and found a 2 for 1 deal.
Seats at the Southern end of the ground for $17 each.
Stoked!
First time at Carrara so looking forward to seeing a new ground. Always a good feeling.

I've got mates who are Dockers supporters so it's great to have one up over them.
One in particular keeps reminding me of Longmuir's mark and goal for the win at Subi.

Another perspective

I've been thinking about the whole "who's to blame-players or coach" business that's going on. Many have proposed that Lyon has lost the players, which may be true. But so much of footy nowadays is based around player ownership etc. I know the Saints have done the Leading Teams stuff over ...
