Optus Oval is in Carlton North, Parkville is across the road (Royal Pde)
On the basis that the "Baby Poos" play in Carlton North and own 20% of shares in North Melbourne they perhaps should play under that name.

And I forgot to add, Carlton do not even have a "Town Hall". Where did they fly there "ill gotten/war time" flags in the old days?

Thats right, I remember the hype before that Footscray game because for the first time ever it looked like we would go through a season without winning a game at Moorabbin.

The win was a barnstorming finish and was quite unexpected as Footscray ended up finishing third that year.

OOPs I made a mistake We actually won 3 this season beating bulldogs in last round This is actually an interesting trivia question itself. Sorry for jumping in but what...

You have obviously checked the stats StFid but I always thought that we beat Richmond twice in 86. Could be just my fading memory. We definitely beat them at Moorabbin and I can't remember beating them at the MCG so therefore we could only have beaten them at Waverley. But then again I can't remembe...

I think the answer to the first part of the question is Daniel Wulf. Probably the best game he played for the club.

As for the second part of the question, I can only guess.

Ben Graham?

Yeah, I think this is right. Disgraced himself Grand Final night 1997 back at Moorabbin.

I also thought Ryan Grinter was better value than "Hammer" to get a game at the time. Bumped into Ryan a year or so back selling computers at officeworks in South Melbourne.

I'll pay that St.Fid. We were actually 6 pts in front with one minute to go. Richmond booted the ball into their goal square only for Russell Greene to rise above the pack to take a screamer. I was still jumping up and down going nuts when he had a brain freeze and tried to handball over the top. Th...

Your sort of right.

Mick Dwyers name is actually Mark Dwyer.

I cant remember the year but we recruited a Mark Dwyer from Fitzroy.
Because of the name confusion, the Dwyer we are most familiar with, (the one that ended up looking like Krusty the Klown), became known as Mick.

Your shot StFid.

OK, I'll have acrack. I think there have been two other systems. 1. From 1925 to about the early thirties- The umpire use to award one vote to the player he deemed best on the ground. 2. There was another system in about 1975 when Graham Moss won. Two umpires "both" gave 3,2,1 votes. There...
