No he is not overrated... he is a massive impact player, whose 8 or 9 possies a game are worth 20 from other players.. even last year he had enormous impact on quite a few games.. sure, it often lasted only a quater or 2, but he deserves his standing as one of our best players..

Not really sure there is a need for big key defenders... Geelong had scarlett as their biggest body in the GF, and he weighs about as much as one of Goose's dumbells... Tall, agile and fast is what is needed, and i Think we have that pretty much covered..

Overall the list looks very good...

Mini has been a midfielder his whole life.. All through his juniors and school footy he was a midfielder, with now real weapons aside from his ability to run all day and accumulate possesions.. He would regularly get high 30's per game, and his skills were always sound, but not great... There is no ...

Two big names not mentioned missed out in Sampi and Dunn... Looks like a couple of potentially good/great careers washed away... a abit of bad luck, particularly for Dunn... Horrible run of injuries... Glad mini is back as a rookie. He has a lot to prove now, and not going to cost us as much if he f...

I actually think we should've kept 70 and hope for something in the pre season draft.. we can still have a pick in the pre-season draft if we want to..salary cap permitting...just transfer one of harvey or maxxie to the vets list...would mean one less rookie....... who, if anyone, is currently on o...

did someone suggest X was soft? OMG the normal criticism of X is he doesn't have any self preservation circuits and gets anhilated because of his own courage. Another not mentioned above is Rix..a good honest tolier but clearly limited. His fate for 2009 may well rest in Gardi's feet....and whether VanReehan steps up....IF both of those players perormed in 2008 then Rix spot as a cheap back up ruckman on our list would be under the pump.....partucularly ...

Raph's possie is a funny one too... seeing him at training, and in civilians, he is actuly quite a sizeale lad.. Im surprised by his height, and he is slowly filling out... must be over 190cm at a guess?? Playing wise tho, he is very flanker type, so a key possie is out of the question, but it woul...

Re: Another cleanout to follow post 2008

Raph: I love Raph, while our expectations on him shouldn't be as high as X, the kid needs to stay injury free this season. I'm sick of hearing about his groin injurys and no preseasons. Am not so worried about form (but I want to see him live up to his talent) but I've had it with him being on the ...

[quote="congorozides"] I cant find a spot for Rix or Blake in the top 26 assuming there are zero injuries.[quote] dont need to justify not finding a spot for either of them... Id imagine most saints supporters would agree that full strength or need to, neither would be in the side... Blake...

massive step backwards in my opinion by the hawks.. No big deal in it being 1 player, i know, but its the thinking behind it that i think is all wrong.. they think they are close and are topping up... They will slide in '08, no doubt..
