His absence is noticeable but so is Howard, Wood etc. We have been caught drinking our own bathwater to some degree.

Re: North - AFL fiddling
Observation: AFL gifting priority picks/forcing young draftees to a basket case causes more harm than good. If AFL really wants to manufacture results make the top 4 sides at the end of the season each give North 2 players. If young guys get no choice why not established players. Weaken good sides ...

Re: Cooked
Season is basically done. Will likely be 2-6 or 3-5 at best looking at fixture. Injuries galore, player stupidity in getting suspended. Do they ever get anything right at St Kilda? Don’t have a half bad side (short of gun midfielders as per usual), but the slightest bit of expectation and they poop...

Re: Isaac Keeler
I thought we recruited Keeler to be developed as a future Paddy Ryder type. That made sense, in that Isaac was physically similar to Paddy, was athletic like Paddy, and was exceptional below his knees for such a tall man, just like Paddy. All good so far. Isaac shows plenty of promise as a tap ruck...

Re: Match thread. Saints V Bombers
Subbing Sharman was ridiculous Yep Cooper stays on and kicks a goal in the last and we win. I think he would have redeemed himself for his 2 early misses. I was pretty disappointed that Sharman wasn't there as a target in that last quarter. We had 10 inside 50s and only scored 1-1 They had 13 for 2...

Re: AFL Dont have a drug issue....
This whole thing is a storm in a tea cup. Nothing is perfect. No-one knows how many times players or clubs are misusing the policy apart from the AFL, but if there was over 100 players involved it wouldn't have remained a secret for this long. Although drugs are a serious problem in society this ov...

Re: Crouch out over 1 month - Knee
Mind boggles about the Cats game Had 5 possessions in the first half - was obviously struggling with lack of conditioning and knee soreness Seb had 10 possessions Why didn’t they sub Crouch and run Seb with Danger as a hard tag (Ala DeGoey) I would’ve actually started the underdone Crouch as the Su...

Crouch out over 1 month - Knee
Brad Crouch will be sidelined for more than a month after injuring his knee on Friday. The 30-year-old left the ground just before half-time in last week's VFL game at RSEA Park, with scans later showing he required arthroscopic surgery. Re: Sandringham Zebras v Collingwood today
Crouch playing well with Zebs proves nothing Who's place does he take? Jones or Byrnes? Or does he take Windhagers spot? I heard Ross in the after mach presser talking about how young the group is. We need to keep blooding the next gen. I watched Ross in the coaches box with 5 minutes to go after H...

Jack Higgins is the guy… 0.4 in the practice match, 0.1 having missed a sitter last week and responded today with 4.1 off 13 touches and 3 tackles. Kicked the first goal, kicked the sealer under pressure and was an absolute nightmare for the pies all evening. What a difference slotting the easy goa...

See this is what I thought we were getting when we drafted a young man named Raph Clarke. An elite play maker that is good in the air. From memory Raph was taller and perhaps better aerially but geeez NWM is an absolute general in defence. Takes all of the hard kicks, backs himself to thread the ey...

Tassie and West Coast Draft Competition
With Tasmanian team almost certain to be starting to build a team in a couple of years and with the talk about West Coast asking for draft support similar to North if they don't improve this year, it's bloody handy we picked our fair share of draftees coming through recently but things are going to ...

Re: Worst possible start to the season we were all fearing...
The loss of 4 points is not good no matter how you put it but maniac negativity washes right over my head - We all saw what happened. I haven't been fearing a loss at the start of the year at all and I have enough confidence in the club to expect better results soon. Quite frankly, after barracking...

The execution parties can't wait to take a scalp or two.
This is the time for the coaching staff to spend their time on next week and I'm sure they are already, even before Saturday. We all saw what happened.

Re: Team structure was warped IMO
I thought Henry was a breath of fresh air as he demonstrated team orientation, whereas most of those closer to the sticks seem to be self centred on being the goal kicking hero. If I am correct in what I see, I hope some of the others catch the disease.

Might be an call too early, lets see see how the 35 year old's perform in the next two quarters. I watched our game vs Pussies late last year again a few nights ago and the oldies were cooked late in the name.

Re: Tarryn Thomas, anyone?
Our club has some good Aboriginal support networks and it would definitely be up them to decide whether they can and/or willing/able to provide such support. No random supporters, even if they are Aboriginal and/or have culturally appropriate counselling qualifications will be involved unless the cl...

Was one of those hit N hope picks in draft after lockdowns ... Yep. I reckon he knows he won't be around when his contract ends - He was our first round-pick in the 2020 Draft, back in the day when we thought draft 'picks' were blindly pulling names out in a hat. But good on him if he proves me wro...
