There seems to be some confusion in the timeline here. Armitage was drafted in 2006. Judd was traded to Carlton in 2007.

Even if there were any truth in this, the equation would not have been that simple. It took picks 3, 20 and Josh Kennedy to land Judd, I highly doubt Armitage and pick 9 (McEvoy) would've been enough.

With our first four picks I'm hoping for some combination of Paine/Dobosz/Elton, Bolger/Downie, Boseley/Frost/Talia and Grigg/Waldhunter/Sheridan with Horsley and Blake as late additions

Well so much for that line about he'd be staying regardless of the outcome of the selection process. Don't begrudge him leaving, would just rather he didn't make statements if he was considering other options.
