When he is drafted by another club except the pies will it still be draft tampering. You don't really get it. He could be picked up with the 1st pick and still be involved in draft tampering (it would obviously be unsuccessful tampering in that case). It is the process, not the result that is the p...

You cant spend that much on a player (LB was on 600) unless the guys is an absolute superstar. because it prevents u spending on other players (Lovett and Peake in this instance) I think in there is the reason the deal was off the table. We had picked up 2 other players, so the figures of the origi...

saints offer ball 3 x300. this is 200 less per year than what hes on. connors not happy - advises ball - dont take it - but leave it on the table . lets see what else is on offer for a few months. and if there is nothing we can still take the 3 x 300. ball agrees to this seemingly sensible advise. ...

OLB I think those stats show something, the less minutes played the more disposals (like the GF). The 2 games in the 2nd half of the season where he played much more that 50% GT, he had 9 possessions and 11 possesions. Luke is a great guy (according to everyone), why would he be the 1st player in re...

I still find it strange Ball was offered a 3 yr contract .....though we dont know the content (of course) . Irrelevant now anyway. It seems the assessment of Ball ( by the Saints ) is that he will never get back to being the player we need for the future . So its bye bye BALL. The sooner its over a...

M66 - it was obvious to all and sundry geelong had most of the momentum in the last quarter - they outscored us 3 goals to zip. more than a little misleading... kicked 1 goal early, we missed a couple of chances... kicked another with 5 mins to go and then one after the siren. You said the way he p...

X leaving adds another part of the puzzle. Any potential salary cap issue could be avoided by back ending the contract - not recommended it - just saying it's an option.
In other words renegotiating it.

You are right. He would really want to write an article on the Saints losing a player so the Bulldogs can go up the ladder.
Prelim final is probably closer to the "Mark"

Makes sense that he is excited afterall he follows the bulldogs. Maybe that is just his opinion. Maybe the reason lies here after all, for both Mark Stevens and Damian Barrett also. They like Jon Anderson show their club leanings in their writing more than any other print journalist. And since when...

Prior to the pick 25 arrangement Collingwood had pitched other scenarios to St Kilda. The last of these yesterday morning involved an offer the Saints had raised earlier in the week - Tyson Goldsack and pick 30 - but were turned down. Like I said earlier this is one account (one that sounds a littl...

There is no proof that Goldsack was in fact offered at all, but for a reporter saying it (no quotes from either side). Reporters said a lot of fanciful stuff in the last week. What Lyon said straight sfter the deadline was that all dealings were amicable EXCEPT those with Luke's manager and Collingw...

Hasn't anyone realised that "Mr Thompson4" is a Collingwood troll. He/she comes around every time we play them and when something happens between our clubs. His/her usual ploy is to pretend he/she is a Saints fan and question the club. I get frustrated that every here is taking him/her at ...

I realised in the Melb R22 game for the first time, why Luke was dropped and didn't play more game time. The ball was coming down the members wing towards our forward line and Luke and his opponent were jogging towards where the ball was heading. He didn't try to demand the ball or lose his opponent...

I think Luke now knows how highly the filth valued him. Half the value of an aging ruckman (Jolly). They convinced him to go with them and then they value him way lower than Brock McLean, way lower than Everitt, way lower than Goldsack and Mark Williams. You would be feeling pretty well shafted.
