Re: Armo

In 2009 and 2010, Shaun Grigg was barely getting a game at Carlton, Shane Edwards was a fringe player at Richmond which won 11 games in 09-10 and Bachar Houli couldn’t get a game at Essendon so not sure any of them would have made much impact in our Grand Final midfields.

Re: Armo

David Armitage was an OK sort of player, never more than ordinary in talent, not particularly pacy and arguably, in retrospect, not worthy of Pick 9, or even top 30. Looking at the 2006 Draft, the following players were available at Pick 9: 12 James Frawley 13 Jack Riewoldt 19 Shaun Grigg 26 Shane ...

Re: The Saints team that didn’t play on Saturday night

Interesting post but the depth angle just says we have many similar type players who can’t impact games ie no superstars. I’d like to see more of White but he is a bit overrated on here. Only Steven, Hannebery and Roberton would walk into our current team and would make a difference. So Webster, Ba...

Umpires start looking at ways to get the Dogs in the game. The 50 against Savage was horrendous 50 was there, learn the rules. Roo didn’t have a problem with it. Give your mate Gears a call and see what he thinks  He has to be given a chance to get out of the area. Rarely paid unless th...

With our draw, we are legitimately a chance to make it. Could end up on 13 wins just by beating sides that are below or near us on the ladder.

Second or Third last to the Hawthorn player [(L)Impey] who fell over - was holding his own until half way down the course. Didn’t want to make the final, was looking around with 5 mtrs to go to make sure he didn’t qualify. Realised he was close to 3rd and pulled up. Pretty sure was just there for t...

I don’t get people on here sometimes. During the Lyon years, club is too secretive, coach doesn’t talk to the media. Now apparently the coach is too accessible. Nobody wants to come to our club. Hanners wants to come, and anyone else mentioned, they are washed up or hacks or both.

I will take an in depth review of our football department over the opinion of someone on the internet. Not sure what you and the 36 (so far) other people who have signed your petition are hoping to achieve.

Was stunned to hear Richo say that he hasn't seen him play all year. Yet another reason to be saying “sayonara Richo” To be fair, he hasn’t seen him live. I reckon he has seen him plenty on video. Do we really want our head coach going to watch Frankston live to see one player? I reckon what we hav...

Re: Lethlean wants to stay on and repay the faith

What is the fascination with who our admistrators barracked for before they joined the saints? Few of our players were saints supporters. Robert Harvey wasn’t, Lenny Hayes wasn’t and Nick Riewoldt wasn’t. Finnis is passionate about StKilda’s success. Whether he is doing a great job is debatable, I p...

Re: To everyone involved at ST KFC

Classic. Play pathetic. Scratch out a weak effort win against a terrible team and think we have shown something. Best player this year injured 5 mins in, another half back out early in the third, playing against a desperate side interstate, coming back from 5 goals down at 3 qtr time. But you go wi...

Seriously? How long can we keep saying we have a bunch of players out of form and we should be better? I feel like that window is is fast closing and if something doesn’t change then our ‘form’ is actually just the reality of our list’s capability... and we are fkn putrid. We are certainly the wors...

Enrico... Yeah, the endeavour was good. Maybe things turned around a little. But - is it enough? No. 2018 is shot. 2019... who knows. I agree, the forward line was better but still a disgrace. To put things in context, I’ll quote Richo from a certain match’s presser, “It was just one game.” That qu...

If you think supporters can't affect the outcome of a game, you don't watch many Perth and Adelaide games. We got a pretty rough trot with the umps yesterday, and those that were there attempted to let them know but it has far less impact with 15,000 as opposed to 30 to 40,000. If we had twice as ma...
