Re: Should the Essendope thread be moved to the Opposition F

If it hasn't been moved in 2 years then why move it now? And this forum and Facebook is the only way I get news as I don't watch TV It was moved after someone reported it as not being relevant to the Saints, then it was moved back after people complained. Personally I don't think it belongs here, I...

Re: Should the Essendope thread be moved to the Opposition F

Who cares? It's a single thread on a page with 50+ threads. You don't care about it, don't read it. Not the point. It doesn't really matter to me one way or the other, but as I and many others have said previously when this has come up on the thread, why should one irrelevant thread have a place on...

Don't understand how this is relevant to StKilda anymore.

Re: Last kickoff over the goal line?

Shane savage had at least 3 runs longer than motlops without bouncing the ball. One in the first quarter would have been at least 25mtrs. Mistakes / leniency given both ways.

Re: Hird sacked

I dont think the WADA case is out to prove they were blatant drug cheats - even comparing them to Armstrong shows how far from the actual issue the whole saga has come. We aren't trying to prove that the whole squad was juiced up to the eyeballs in known proven performance enhacing substances like ...

Re: Nick

I went to the hawthorn v Sydney game at the G earlier in the year and have never, ever heard booing like that at a player who hadn't belted someone. It was from the first time he got the ball. It was before the war dance so that had nothing to do with it. I have heard people say, if it was racist wh...

Our midfield is right on top. Longer going well, armo likewise and all four jacks amongst it.

Re: well ?

I don't think the 4 points will cost us in the future, but now and in the future it would have been better if we were capable of beating the dogs now. The fact that we couldn't win indicates that the bulldogs as currently better than us (as most suspected at the start of the season). Three or four s...

Re: Schneider and Sinclair

For me schnieds gets upgraded. At the current stage, he offers the team a lot more. Sinclair will still learn a lot playing in the vfl. There he will play on ball and not have to wear the subs vest every second week. It isn't like he doesn't play footy at all if he isn't elevated, it might actually ...

Re: Schneider's season

Its churlish after such a great win, but after being pathetically baited here's the other side of this argument: Schneids again didn't show a peep when we got belted in the first quarter. We were lucky it was a young, overly cocky team who switched off after qtr time. I think you are selling his fi...

I had in that post, 'even Weller is capable of kicking a few', but took it out. Within five minutes he had kicked two. Wouldn't I have looked clever, oh well.

Goal kicking mids

It is something that all great sides have, and something that we have had too few of over recent seasons. We look like we are really putting together a group of mids who are capable of kicking goals. We don't really have any mids now who don't bob up and kick a few goals and we have some now who reg...

Re: Schneider's season

Schneider is an absolute down hill skier. its all fine when the rest of the team are smashing in and getting it out to him. When its going against us and WC players are streaming through the middle with impunity where the hell is he then? Just doing his normal "sit in space" receiver thin...

Longer and Leonie. I liked seeing billings get a lot of the ball, didn't use it that well though. I thought Geary was good except for three kicks. He had more positives than negatives for me. Bruce competed well.

Re: Enough is enough

I think we need to do some work on how games are umpired. Other teams seem to adapt to changing interpretations a lot faster than us. Look at the game last night and today, we need to learn how to get the soft frees and how not to give them away. Umpires are paying frees to soft players. Initiate co...

Re: Saints v Blues Match Thread in Welly

Great first quarter from Geary. Paddy, Bruce and members providing a great contest up forward. Great to see billings getting some ball, turned it over a bit but good to see him getting his hands on it.
