And we're not appealing why?
If this is now the standard suspension for these kind of things then clubs are going to need more players on their list because we're going to have a number of players missing a 3rd of a season due to suspension..

Re: Schoenmaker
There's some seriously harsh judges on here. Excellent performance for his first AFL level hit out. Disposal was fantastic in the windy conditions, regularly looking to switch play or kick through the lines with purpose. Nothing like Dougal Howard in my opinion. Yet to read anything harsh at all......

Re: Two off-seasons that will define the next few years
I dont disagree, Mnarshall is a gun, i dont think anyone has questioned who was the better player. For this discussion maybe we need to look at what the Ryder/Marshall tandem offered compared to the Marshall/?? tandem. When Ryder played well, St.kilda played well, missing the Richmond final in 2020 ...

I think it was one of those situations where it might not have been always as good for Marshall but having Ryder was better for the team...
You'd also think those years playing alongside Ryder taught Marshall a thing or two..

Re: Is Jack Sinclair a ‘First-choice midfielder’?
No! Why mess with a player’s strength? Jack needs to remain at HB for the majority of games. We need his rebound there. Jake from SaintsTV is a bit of a Saints Pollyanna and sometimes not that realistic. Agreed. He's a 2 time AA half back. He only went through the midfield because we didnt have oth...

At 29-30 next year is this what we really need a injury ridden player again. Wouldn't Brynn Teakle be better he is 24 204cm and 102kg played 6 games for Port he has been delisted as well. The club has decided that Dougal Howard is not the guy they want for full back, taking the oppositions tall for...

Re: Keep Coffield
In my opinion, lack of selection integrity is the main contributing factor as to why certain players want out. If you are repeatedly one of the best players for Sandringham and not getting a game when certain coaches 'pets" get picked week in and week out, it's no wonder you are looking for gr...

Re: Dylan Shiel
Ths is the craziest trade proposal ive ever heard.. No way on earth would we give up Gresh AND pick 13 for Shiel. Surely they give us an extra pick if anything. Andwhay do we care what compo pick we get if we just giving it back anyway, as if Essendon complain whatever pick it was.. And then we also...

Re: Gresham
My understanding is this (no ITK just intuition and reading between the lines): Shiel is on a big deal and Essendon need cap space chasing McKay. We take Shiel for pick 30'ish Essendon offer Gresham a deal worthy of first round compo. We get Shiel and Pick ~15, and give up Gresham and our second ro...

I dunno about this... autobiographies can be pretty self serving and/or dry at times..

Depends what you're listening to.. On this weeks Realfooty podcast she said that the end justified the means in regards to sacking Ratts for RTB and thinks we're in a good position for future success. The fact that its about the 2nd time st.kilda has been mentioned on the podcast all season besides ...

Re: Josh Bruce has retired
I always liked Bruce for his effort and hard work during a strange era but he's definitely made a few unnecessary comments after leaving the Saints... And then finishes with this... "The move to the Bulldogs has been one of the most defining moments of my life." He played 99 games with us ...

Unless someone is injured or really sore then they play. We're still playing for a home final and we need to keep working on building chemistry between mids/fwds.The Fireman wrote: ↑Sun 20 Aug 2023 5:15pm No one..every game we can get into these guys the better, especially against a good side like Brisbane

You are one out here. A lone voice. That was a really inept disgraceful performance which clearly shows that the side has gone backwards this year. I blame the coach but you can blame the players. Considering he inherited exactly the same team and then that said team has been decimated by injuries we're probably 3 wins ahead of where we should be! Problem is we were 6 wins ahead at one point. Shows how well he started then... 5 of our starting fwds have played under 25 games... We're up agai...

Considering he inherited exactly the same team and then that said team has been decimated by injuries we're probably 3 wins ahead of where we should be! In saying that, losing the same way every week and playing the same style has been frustrating. Clearances, bombing it fwd, questionable team selec...

Re: Melbourne...wheres the games biggest concern?
The same as every week. . Our mids get slaughtered and when we do get it fwd we kick it on top if the heads of our fowards, who are also just jogging or standing still and an opposition defender/ spare man gets 15 marks, 35 disposals and BOG. Or our defenders stop running and kick down the line to c...

He's 28 this year, as much as id hate to lose him, if a club offered three 1st rd picks then you'd have to take it. Its not the same as trading 21yo McEvoy.. and it would give us good draft picks before the Tassy team starts hoarding them all. Allowing Gresh to leave is a given, but really, id happi...

Unfortunately 'the Prospect' is turning 28 this year. Whilst not old, he's also not at all young, he is what he is., slightly undersized ruckman who gets some hitouts but not really to advantage, gets out bodied but bigger ruckman, is great at rushed clearances and around the ground, a nice mark is ...

Re: What's up with Phillipou?
Has already shown he'll be a good player at this level but as many have said, he (along with Byrnes, Caminiti) should've been rested or gone back to Sandy for a couple of weeks at least a month ago. Yes we have injuries and yes we dont have many knocking the door down but their diminishing returns a...
