Riewoldt's Non-Strapped Shoulders
Noticed today he had no strapping on his shoulders and only on one knee which actually made his joints visible. I stand to be corrected, but I can't remember him being without it post shoudler injuries. I wonder if this was this some response to the 'soft' label or to all the talk about his strapping?

I've never even been a fan of him but today he was impressive. His kicking was terrible and another ill-directed forward is the last thing we need but everything else was pretty good. Has done enough to earn another game or two and hopefully he can build on today's performance. Took 4 contested mark...

All three injuries are pretty hard to avoid, especially Riewoldt and Baker if it did in fact occur in that collision. We've done ok with soft tissue injuries with four (Max, Gardiner, Schneider, X. Clarke) by memory. Suprisingly, of these four, only 1 has occurred in a match, with the other three e...

With Riewodlt out and Gehrig struggling, it seems quite logical to play Koschitzke at CHF given how's he's played there before under similiar circumstances. As a ruckmen, hes good around the ground and can be all right in the ruck against poor opposition but against quality ruckmen he really struggl...

I quite like it because it would be interesting and a bit different, but it would probably not practically work. My idea to solve the fixture would be to extend the season to 25 and 26 rounds and scrap the NAB Cup, but I guess they could still have it also. One season would be 25 rounds where you pl...

I think some of it can be contributed to being lazy and undisciplined and not kicking while properly balanced. Sometimes, it is necessary to kick while off balance but Milne seems to kick off one step leaning back all the time while when Gram will fake to kick a couple of times and then have to rush...

I think they should both spend time rotating through the midfield and forward with Bally spending more time forward than Armo. Ball ha a nous for kicking goals provided he is within 30-40m and his tackling will be invaluable. Then, hopefully, Ball can gradually be intergrated into the midfield more ...

With Baker coming in it will be interesting to see what happens with Dempster, Fisher and Blake. All three play mainly as taggers but don't win much of the ball. Is that too many of them to go in wit Baker playing also? Blake not play this role now becuase he may be used as a relief ruckmen this wee...

There were quite a few postives tonight including: - a 3/4 effort is much better than a 1/4 or 2/4 effort - Armo played a great game - Forward defensive pressure was up - Forward line worked relatively well But there were negatives also but things that cna be worked on: - still put in one bad quarte...

Losing King was quite a big loss to us as he was having another very solid game for us. He had 8 touches and 18 hitouts in about a half and had some real quality taps. While our midfield and whole team lost some intesity especially through the midfield if King was still there putting it down the tho...

X may lack peripheral vision but you shouldn't need to worry about what's around you when you're 20-30 metres away and not in the contest. He wasn't putting pressure on the player, obviously wasn't in the play making a lead, and wasn't even in a position where the ball looked like coming. In the Kos...

Dal was well beaten by Ling today but it look like he made a real effort to be harder at the ball. It was definately an improvement on last week but still needs to work much harder when he doesn't have the ball and do much more. His accountabilty is still a problem and he needs to improve but calls ...

I'd play Hudghton on Mooney and Fisher on Hawkins. Hudghton towelled Mooney in the NAC cup game and could easily do it again. Not sure how Fisher would go defensively on Hawkins but maybe we could exploit him on the rebound and put him to the sword. Then hopefully, id we can put him to the sword on ...

It was a pretty spot on article. While our structure is obviously not working at the moment I don't think its a structure that will never work. The 1st quarter showed that when up and running it will be quite lethal. If Kosi and Roo can lift the forward line should be able to carry Fraser and his in...
