Re: Team v Port
The problem with dropping Cordy is that he has been very good. Probably career best form. We are just not a balanced side at the moment, so that should take preference over form. He's actually been very serviceable since coming across from the Dogs and played most weeks, funny how some supporters s...

Re: Our form
If we were to win Miracle on Ice I fear for the city of Adelaide People would die The government would have to bring in the Army to restore law and order. Ken Hinkley would have to flee the country and be placed in a witness protection program for the rest of his life. Don't even go there just accep...

Re: Team v Port
They have us covered on every single line. Most teams do presently. We have a significant talent shortage with and disproportionate number of young and inexperienced players being forced to play akin to a bottom 4 side going through a hard rebuild. I thought we should have had the Dogs covered on q...

Re: Team v Port
Disgusting that Hayes and Schoenmaker aren't given a go. We are going to struggle to kick more than five goals tomorrow night. They have us covered on every single line. A bit OTT don't you think? If we win they will make a sequal to Miracle On Ice. Hayes and Scho would make little difference this ...

Haven't seen anything from the Crab yet to make me feel regret we traded him, one quarter to go so maybe he can bob up and find a moment. I'd be happy for him if he does...big crowd and never a better time to impress your new fans.

Re: Paddy Dow to play for Sandy
Definitely is best 22 if he can replicate his breakout form from last season. He had several outstanding games when he was played as a permanent midfielder. I'm reserving judgement until I have seen a St Kilda sample size. He has questionable disposal and when the modern game is built around scorin...

Whilst I didn't like the excuses being rolled out I think Ross is the right man for overseeing this young group develop, we are going to need an elder statesmen type personality who has a lot of of strong connections in the media which is an underrated aspect of what Ross brings to the table. Stabil...

Re: Phillipou Close to Signing
This time last year there were people getting excited about Hawthorn. 2 months ago many Saints supporters thought were destined to play finals this year, some even believed top 4, and that all of our kids were destined to be A grade or Elite talent. Still could happens but statistics might have a s...

Re: Phillipou Close to Signing
Sorry. Just want to check. Are we looking at West Coast as an example to aspire to? I understand that view 5 years ago but these days.... We could only dream of being a fraction of the richest club in the competition, and by a fair margin and as such an incredibly well resourced and managed organis...

Re: Aberration or reality check or both?
The negative noise is pointless. People who say our list isn't good enough then go off their nut when the team doesn't perform like the Harlem Globetrotters evey week. If you accept the weaknesses in the list then you have to wear it when we have the odd game when things don't work out. Currently, ...

Dropping him would be good test of his character ... see if he sooks or gets down and dirty This approach would certainly put our Messiah Complex to the test. I'm still cringing over the comments he made about himself in that pre season puff piece on himself. At this stage of his career he's gettin...

Always second to the contest An honest toiler bs. He wasn't second to the contest 'Always'. A 'honest toiler'? JFC! Have you forgotten he won 2 All Australian blazers under a coach who allowed him to play the ball? What's his stats for lighting it up as Ross calls it? He's playing good the last cou...

Re: Jack Steele and centre clearance
Always second to the contest, evident in his high tackle count. He was coached that way at GWS and then by Richo and has never really found a second string to his bow. Remember Lyon saying in a presser last year he'd like Steele to light it up towards goal. An honest toiler and is growing in the Cap...

Re: Next week
For the foreseeable future you can expect Ross will play a game plan suited to a lack of talent and experience which unfortunately is ultra defensive and preys on the opposition to be forced into a turnover that we can try and score from. This game plan onlu works if you have the fitness, conditioni...

Re: Aberration or reality check or both?
I thought at the time that Bassat bringing in Lyon was a PR stunt from a desperate president who was impatient for success, and who thought looking backwards was the answer. I was really disappointed with Lyon coming back, as I see him as the past, had his time and been out of the game for a while ...

Re: Drafting 25
AFL clubs are starting to say they can't rebuild via the draft, the way it's designed with it's built in compromises makes it almost impossible. So how does a club rebuild, does it take 58 years and adding ? It takes stability and a long time, our club has been stuck in an antiquated business model...
