Who from the older core
Is not getting a game?
Zak Jones - Ross doesn’t rate him
Any others?
Is he playing kids over older players?
I don’t thinks so, or he would’ve played Schoenmaker instead of an underdone Howard - who was atrocious

Re: Sandy v Bullants
As I said, offensive HBs or running backs and or Wingman will obviously have the lowest tackling numbers Given their position in modern footy it’s pretty obvious Inside Mids Normally average 4-6 tackles per game Small forwards should average about 3 HHFs 2-3 small defenders 2-3 KPPs around 1- 2 Wing...

I don’t thinkk we’ve rebuilt at all since Pelchen
Which is why we are a mid table mess
In 2018/2019
We did a top up after recruiting Clarke, Coffield and King
Hannebery then Ryder, Hill, Howard, Butler,
Then Higgins, Zak Jones and Crouch

Why not Billings vs Paddy Cripps or Zac Merrett? Why limit it just to Bontempelli?! Why not Dane Swan or Brian Lake in 2001 and not Josh Houlihan What about Nat Fyfe in 09 - we traded the pick just before he was selected for A Lovett What about Taking David Armitage when James Frawley and Jack Reiwo...

Plays in a position where tackling is not common
Not sure how many tackles Nasiah and Battle have but he plays a similar role.
He’s not an inside mid

Only really good players (A Grade) get to play to 34/35 If your an also ran or your best is behind you, you likely gone at 30 Even Crouch, Ross, Membrey, Jones, Webster who have all been serviceable or better will be done at 30-32 A Grade players like Marshall, Steele, Wilkie, Sinclair can go throug...

Geelong have surprised - did you pick them as a top 2 team?
They are remarkable
I still don’t think they are a premiership threat though
Collingwood- hard to gauge
Probably the luckiest premiership in my memory
They won a ridiculous amount of close games last season including finals.

Dual narrative
Is the new ‘year of exploration’ So we are trying to win games and get games into kids at the same time - to build a premiership list Injuries could be a blessing in disguise Maybe this year, dropping down and getting a pick 5-8 won’t be the worst thing? Combined with a pick 23-28. And maybe trading...

Article is basic and just goes along with media narrative
There is no ‘root cause’
Its analysis is simplistic and could be written by a year 10 kid

Only ever seen Ross at the VFL once before - and that was last time he was coach.
He may have been there but not visible
Ratten and AR were frequently there
Steele and Hunter were there, Steele normally is there

How do you measure a coaches performance?
Win/Loss?
Premierships?
Great coaches are nothing without quality players, whereas quality players can still dominate regardless of the coach!
