Why would TJ make it up?
Definitely true imo, and the game in question showed it to be fact. We were Rogered,,,

Re: Sinclair and Acres the drifters
Sincs and Acres spend 80% time on ground as forwards Wingman this year have been Billings, Newnes, Hannebury, Paton and a few other here an there I agree, they under perform though, even though the average HF get 15-20ppg due to structural positioning, they can’t just ball hunt. Acres is the classic...

Playing HF, terrible place to play at StK
Both are wings/mids... Sinclair can play small forward but is better up the ground

We should NEVER have stopped playing games in Tassie
It was in the top 5 stupid decisions of the last decade

Re: Priority Pick
No compensation
So when Billings walks as a free agent we get zero for him
And Essendon get an A Grader for nothing?
So big clubs continually get fed top 25yo players developed by poor clubs who receive zero compensation
If you lose a valuable commodity you should get something in return

Re: Hannebury Hamstring Awareness & Lethlean
If he gets to 2017 stats, I’d be ok with that. They were better than all our Mids bar Steven and Ross, and he’s a better user than Ross and possibly Steven. His 2015-16 numbers were worth over a million 700+ possessions and 20+ Brownlow votes both seasons and the AFL Coaches award He did get a 4 yea...

Re: It mostly comes down to our midfield
Yes we need mids desperately. But last year, with King available, we had to select him. Could not afford a Richmond Tambling/Buddy Franklin moment A good big man is always more valuable than a good little man Whilst Buckley, Harvey and Voss are true champions Lockett, Carey and Ablett snr are more i...

If I was in charge at WCE I would use a management style like Homer did at the power plant
Or
A Monty Burns style coach when he took on the Softball team

Re: Brad Scott to be announced as Saints coach in August
Not sure, apparently a connection through the Ammos?
Don’t know if Scott ever played Ammos though, he went to school at St Kevins and was recruited as an 18yo to Hawthorn.
Simon Lethlean played with and coached Old Xavs in the 90s/00s

Re: Hannebury Hamstring Awareness & Lethlean
Correct And we went all in for Sheil at 1.4M We have money to burn, if we actually burn that money so be it. What I’m about is attracting quality. If we got Sheil, do we realise we would not have King?! Glad we didn’t get him at that cost (draft pick not salary) If we could afford Hannebury, WTF not...

Re: POLL: Your preferred Saints coach
Surely Harvey can’t be coach, we all know him so well as a coach we can make that call. He is far too quite, when what we need is a Alan Killigrew style hot gospeller. Don’t matter if he’s good an astute mind for the game, or whether is is a respected figure. He can’t go off his nut (well not that w...

Re: Hannebury Hamstring Awareness & Lethlean
Don’t exaggerate Was his 2017 that poor? 570 disposals, 14 goals, 6 Brownlow votes His 2018 and front half of 2019 were injury effected And yes, I do expect him to come back at 29 and play good footy, and at 30 and 31. Question Who on our current list would you like to pay big bucks so we hit the mi...

Re: Ratten and leadership
The line coaches are very responsible for each line they look after. It’s not the old days where there is one authoritarian in charge. Example When Charlie Cameron was going beserk, AR asked Playfair if a move needed to be made, Playfair indicated he was still the best match up, so AR backed that ca...

Re: Ratten and leadership
Well if Alan Richardson is held accountable for team performance, so should Ratten be given he is the forward line that cannot kick a score, even when there is i50s I think Ratten can most probably coach, but his rating by our supporters is over the top. When we were winning early on, it was due to ...

Re: Jack Steele
I don’t care to much for poetry, but I do get what an inference is... in this case the inference that his possessions don’t count, which I think is garbage. What’s the role of a midfielder? To find the footy, a mid that doesn’t get the ball is pretty useless, because it’s safe to assume his opponent...

Re: Jack Steele
I have thought about it, it made no sense.
If you have possession of the ball in a game, the opposition do not have the ball, hence the term meaningless possession is a strange description.
Easy possession (Mark from a backward kick) or inefficient possession, Clanger. Yes.
