Re: My favoite St Kilda players are: ?
Who are the players you love the most? For me, it is totally based on my timeline/age... Nicky Winmar If I had to choose a top ten...(I was born '63, my Dad a Queenslander and a Rugby League native) 10. Ditteritch 9. Jeff Sarau 8. Barry Breen (I always loved pros who kept going in lesser roles as t...

Re: Rounds 2 to 5
I tuned out for a lot of the second half of the Norf game as I was more focused on the season shutdown news. I’d love to know the effect that had on our players vs North. I asked that very question on here post-match and was reminded that e did show up and play well - for the first ten minutes of t...

Re: Saint player sledge ALMOST ended Clokes career
I tend to agree on this case. Cloke had a great career but he was cooked. Even the greatest of them all - Plugger - was old and slow and useless in his final comeback year at Sydney.
I don’t always buy the mental health card in every instance.

MMM said Sunday night, which would rate better than twilight - good for our sponsors.
I hope Sunday night becomes a regular slot in the no crowd at games era - they should add Monday night also during this weird time.

Sounded like he had a good time. He’s the Aussie version of Wolf of Wall Street. He did host a few parties at his Brighton mansion that quite a few Saints players attended. I know that for fact! i'm starting to admire the guy Yeah it seems like he had a lot of fun and wasn’t a snakey drug lord or u...

Must say I’m on Eddie’s side wanting Geelong to come clean with what happened with Steven Maybe you can explain to us all how it's any of his or your business! Because he’s a public figure and has been deliberately evasive which makes it very suss So what? Why is it that you think you're entitled t...

I still say BUTTHEAD sacking THOMAS cost St Kilda 3 premierships!!!!!! 3 premierships were certainly lost plus a million dollars, but that was because of Blight & GT's appointments. We got what we deserved with GT's sacking, thanks Rod, if you'd been sober he would not have been appointed. Glad...

So we if DL wasn’t into cross dressing (which I have no issue with - it’s harmless), would we have sunk the boots in harder?

Re: Jack Steven Knife Incident
Great player but flawed personality. I'm still very bitter about the way he "left" our club. And would have been really pissed off if he starred at Pussy Park, particularly given the peanuts they paid for him. Maybe this is the karma bus. Must say I agree 100% but also really hope Stuv do...

So Stuv has been stabbed. Maybe the lousy trade pick we got for him was fair value considering it appears he’s still messed up. Really sad situation for such a great player. Career over it seems. These are the types of posts I would show any player from any team when considering what the best optio...

Great long term recall Sanctorum, but can you recall what happened yesterday? 😉 My mum has Alzheimer’s and can vividly recall the 1940’s but has no recall of dad passing away 4 years ago. Haha Joffa, very sorry though to hear about your mother, that is all too common a story, I have some friends wh...

good on him for not dobbing his missus in cop that one , for being a knuckle dragger How do you know it was her not drug dealer (or someone else) related?? Really horrible if it was his ex, especially for their child. AFL integrity unit looking into it also. I assume he will have to be stood down o...

Re: China experiment in reality dead and buried
Why don't we try New Zealand? We could even play in NZ this year - imagine if the NZ government allowed crowds in and our borders with NZ opened soon? Imagine if crowds were banned here but not there? It’s plausible to allow, say, a thousand people into a largish area/ground and somehow set up soci...

Re: AGM and financials
Focus should not be on wiping out debt. I hope we are paying the minimum off and investing everything we can into the club. Members, sponsors, bums on seats- we need positive operating cash flows to grow. Then the debt will take care of itself. To do this we need to give everyone involved every opp...

Re: Jack New(ne)s article on the Hun
I think a 150-game player who gave us honest service deserves a bit better than some of the trash metered out to him. He wasn't a great player, he wasn't a bad player. He did his best. He lost his way a bit in his final few years, but there's no heard feelings from me and I wish him all the best wi...

At least we can bag vanilla Richo now. We can only hope Ratts delivers and delivers quickly.prwilkinson wrote: ↑Sun 15 Dec 2019 4:37pm Pretty average player that just epitomised the Richo era. Depth player at best that just fell out of games, you’d often forget he was even playing.

You’d be surprised to know how much Jarryn is rated in AFL circles, particularly by those who play against him and especially his opponents. Eddie Betts rates him as one of his toughest opponents! Skill is not just about kicking the ball... that’s one skill amongst many others, that mustn’t be well...

From herald sun.com.au 7. ROSS LYON’S FREO SWITCH Four days after St Kilda’s 2011 season ended, its coach Ross Lyon had gone AWOL. For a whole day, repeated calls by club officials went unanswered. The Saints were drafting a press release to announce he’d signed a new four-year deal and were baffle...
