Re: Nick Reiwoldt on Fox

FWIW the free to air call was massively positive - moreso than I can ever remember hearing. When we were winning in the Ross Lyon days every positive comment was tempered with how boring we were to watch! I thought Jobe Watson was incredibly generous with his comments. They ended up discussing whet...

Re: Match Thread Saints v Blues Round 5 2020

Ryder has to play in my opinion. Let Marshall run himself into the ground, then release Paddy to negate any chance of a resurgence. Who misses out??? This depends on the opposition structure. Does Ryder fill the same role as Jono Marsh? If so, wouldn't he be a pretty decent swap (although a little ...

Re: Dan Hannebery - call it

I must be missing something. He's an excellent footballer. Under normal circumstances, he's not a million dollar player (so to speak), but the rebuild of the club was not a normal circumstance. It took that sort of move to start to get the place moving in the right direction. Absolutely, 110% a grea...

Re: Match Thread Saints v Blues Round 5 2020

Coffield, Marshall, Billings, Long, Steele and Wilkie were all very good tonight. Good win although I still don’t trust them when they get a lead, they need to really bury a side. I'll go the reverse. Hill only 8 possessions, Clarke 10, Carlisle 9 with 5 dinky little kicks only, Marsh 10, Battle 12...

Re: Match Thread Saints v Blues Round 5 2020

It’s the same problem though isn’t it. Marshall got tired in that 3/4 and that coincided with Carlton dominating play. He came out breathing fire in the 4th and we buried the match... led by Marshall. How do we structure to give this guy some help? He actually tucked quite well in the last too. His...

Marshall needs help in the ruck. He's getting beaten and they're starting to get on top.

Kent too many errors. Lonie some poor decisions.

Looked very tired towards the end if that quarter.

Hopefully we haven't gassed ourselves out.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Blues Round 5 2020

Wietering has done really well on King.

There's been 3 or 4 plays where King shoukd have been on the end of it. But Weitering bodied off the ball to take away his ability to lead to the right spot.

Re: A blinder tonight ?

I assume Hunter Clark will play midfield tonight, given the Nude Nut's absence and Geary's inclusion.

He could slip under their guard if they put a lot into Hill and Hannebury.

Re: Nicky Winmar suing Sam Newman and co-hosts for attempt to revise historical moment

I’m happy to read everyone’s opinions but please stop with the long quoting s***!! Spot on Stevie! I wish there could be a block or a two quote per person, per quote, per day rule. It's lazy, after two quotes the rest should be hyperlinked if anyone cares to go back that far. That is the best plea,...

Re: Geary

Battle eared the right last year to be an automatic selection. It should be up to him to lose his spot. This is exactly why I firmly believe Geary should not be captain. He is on the fringe of our best 22. The captain should be in the top 10 best players on the list at the very least. Battle is a p...

Re: Nicky Winmar suing Sam Newman and co-hosts for attempt to revise historical moment

Mike should not quit the podcast. That is extreme. But the apology was needed given the offence it has caused. He's quitting cause he can't handle the heat of being held to account about what you say. He's lost. The same as a lot of old white folk are these days. They don't get it. And they aren't ...

Re: Nicky Winmar suing Sam Newman and co-hosts for attempt to revise historical moment

here are the two footy shows from the following day No one is disputing how it was reprted at the time. It's irrelevant. The issue isn't about opinions from the time. You're missing the entire point. The issue is that it was suggested that Winmar has been bullshitting about it. The issue is that th...
