Re: Round 3 Game thread
On a high note the 2022 draft is a sizzler for defenders Sam Clohesy - Calder Canons saw him play this week...made my nipples twitchy, huge bombs out 50, gut running at 19yr old. We need this lad. Josh Goater- 190cm midfielder, looks like a Fyfe replica, the run, smash and grab, the leap for marks,...

Re: The Eagles
No. But I can’t see the point in comparing us with the Eagles or the Lions. We’re 2-4 and we were crap on Thursday with a huge injury list coming off a five day break. Coming off 3 games in 12 days, one interstate game in there...insane. GWS have one 5 day break in 15 rounds The rest all Sat>Sat or...

There's a host of past and present reasons for our most recent capitulation. I do hold hope that changes in governance, coaching and player acquisition, development and retention strategy will lead to an era of top 4 play and a Granny! But I thoroughly expect to get thrashed a bit more before this h...

Some are crying, 'look what we've become'; 'had to walk out it was so bad"....I've been to sooooo many worse Saints games. Sure this was a big disappointment. You ever see a Saints forward at Morrabin literally trot off and say he was still drunk from the night before whilst we get hammered for...

Re: Match Thread vs Richmond
I know a few on here said how Cordy had a good game. I just want to say that our deep backs had a fantastic game. Boris Enright should be proud. Stocker played a great game of football. Sinclair looked right at home at half back. Battle was my best on ground taking crucial intercepts and that 3 sel...

I have always wanted relegation & promotion. Usually I get punched in the nose by my mates, my missus, my kids, the neighbour over the fence, the old lass down the nursing home, even my old dad from the grave... But it 100% works in global soccer with thousands of teams, small leagues, mega lea...

Re: Windhager 1 match suspension
At the moment, we’re poorly coached, amongst other things. That is just factually incorrect. Is this SydneySainter for reals? I dont get it. Why all this bitching? We are 100% rebuilding. RTB wants to win like everyone, but he is actually playing youth...ROSS LYON is playing youth...read that 600 t...

Re: Kicking at goal
Has a Ross Lyon coached team ever been reliable in front of goal He lost GFs in 2009 and 2013 because his forwards couldn’t kick under pressure Higgins, Owens are forwards who are woeful kicks Wouldn’t back them in a set shot from 30m Isn't Higgins 7 Goals 3 behinds in 2024? Of course he has had th...

So......not having near your best team on the park is absolutely no excuse? Hmmm Okay, so how many test matches would the late 1990s/early 2000s Australian test team have won without McGrath and Warne?. That's only two players, right? Would still have dominated, right? If you don't believe that Woo...

Re: Wilkie
We are missing some players that draw attention... NVM got one over last week but this week was held. He played very well last week so without too many players for Bombers to worry about he was given strong opponents and he faded under pressure. Same with Wilkie etc. We just need a full compliment b...

Re: Liam Henry hammy?
I don’t mean to be rude but there is no like for like replacement for Henry on the list. He is the exactly the type of player we have been wanting for the last 15-20 years. He’s out of the box! It kills me. As soon as we get any sort of ascendency, the football gods throw a spanner in the works. He...

How many pressure acts did Pou get?
Just quietly...2nd highest behind Steele.
Pressure creates play...often turnover.

I believe it was told he listens to Tony Robbins...it goes something like this....or so they say...
Play on repeat.
"And you sir, are a goddam legend."
Tony Robbins, 1983...from the best selling book..."You Beautiful Bastard You Deserve to buy a $5900 Feel Special Seminar"

Nah, love his efforts but he's n...

Re: Phillipou
Pou had another seemingly ok night, but lacking pizazz.
Looking at his stats the 21 pressure acts were 2nd only to Steele. Pretty important aspect of the mids game. Hope he keeps sharpening those skills, kicks a few goals for good measure.
