Re: Mass exodus

I don’t understand. Wasn’t there a deep and meaningful, no holding back meeting held in 2021 and then again in 2022 with the players, coaches and staff, when things weren’t going well. Is there a core group of disgruntled players, is it because of poor leadership.

Yes it was funny seeing Dougal doing rehab training on his own yesterday down from the dozen or so players at the beginning of the season.

Re: Players' meeting

Is the fact that we don’t have a good tap ruckman directing the ball down to our midfield players a major part of the midfield problem.

You can’t have been in the top 8 all year without doing something right. We can’t be too far off.

Re: In for next week against Rooboys - Four at least

Does anybody know who played in the scratch match yesterday, against Casey and how they went? Did Hayes get good game time?

Re: Ross's Presser

The benefit of all the Sun’s draft concessions was on full display yesterday. The core of their team are multiple Top 10 picks now maturing into quality players up agains our team where we have a core of second level imports from other teams, the odd top 10 pick but mostly top 20 + picks

Re: Max Heath

With King out Heath is our best option, takes a good grab and kicks accurately, Hayes is another possibility but still a couple of weeks away so let the Moose loose Is Hayes really that good???? He played a blinder in his first game and looked average in his next three before being injured in his 5...

Re: Some Perspective

Interestingly it seemed the younger one’s were playing the way we want to play, a quick play on game and the senior players were supporting them. We not only lost three players to injury last night, but three strategically important players and early in the game. There must have been a lot of struct...

Some Perspective

We lost our key forward in the first minute and then two other key players in the first quarter, so played with three players down for most of the game. We were never out of the game. Our younger players, despite making mistakes and out on their feet, worked hard right to the end. We were playing th...

Re: Four added to extended bench.

Diligent, hardworking, unassuming, quick hands, a leader are some of the words that describe Bytel I have followed him since he arrived at the Saints and like many others I’m baffled why he hasn’t been given a go in the AFL side, except for the fact that he plays a similar role to Steele, Crouch and...

Re: Jack Hayes

Jack is a very versatile player who moves all over the ground. He reads the play well, is strong in contested plays, can mark and is an ok kick. He is not a flashy player but brings experience and adds to our structure.

Re: West Coast with new coach next week??

We did lose a very popular fitness coach He was replaced, wasn't he? Are you saying that his replacement is not up to the job? What does that mean Tony? Surely we aren’t sliding cause a liked fitness guy left ? So much of football is above the shoulders, when a club changes coaches mid stream they o...

Re: To any club administrator who might frequent this forum

Looks like another case of "The sky is falling, the sky is falling!" Seriously, taking pot shots at the club all the time is ridiculous. Emotional outbursts due to frustration don't achieve anything. Look at the facts. We all know we're a middle of the ladder team with insufficient talent...

Re: West Coast with new coach next week??

There wont be a new coach - he's contracted to 2025. Would cost them too much. Aren’t they the richest club or top 3? Money would not be a problem for them. They have become complacent, fat and lazy and let their list run down and kept senior players play on for too long. The Chairman of the AFL is...

Re: West Coast with new coach next week??

It’s a difficult situation for us isn’t it with the spotlight well and truly on our opposition for the next round. Trust us to become embroiled in another team’s woes. Do we take the opportunity to experiment with our team, or do we hold the line and go for the % boost. Do we rest some players beari...
