Stringer apparently has discipline issues
Gets to training late, doesn't work hard enough
Has little forward pressure
Won't chase
Expects ball to come to him

Re: Who will explode in 2018
I don't feel confident about any of those going up a gear next year. Steele might get stronger in the gym over the pre-season, as he is in the ideal age to bulk up; but I don't see him exploding. The rest could improve slightly, only if the club snags not one but two big fish. One will make a differ...

Re: Stringer
G.Lyon. His dad won first division tattslotto twice. His son has never done a day's real work in his life. Good footballer, but that's about all. Not the sharpest knife in the draw and has no idea what the average person struggles with. It shows. I'm afraid he's a bit of a narcissistic corkhead. Ra...

Re: Jaxons come on down (2017/18 thread)
Id pay pick 7 for Whitfield. Keep pick 8 for a kid in draft. Keep 47 for a kid in draft. Get Motlop or Rocky as a FA. If we get Rocky then Armo is trade bait. We don't have a second rnd pick ConnieBoy, traded for Steele, two real solid citizens in Whitfield and Rocky!!!!! NOT!!!!! Motlop worth a tr...

Re: The current St Kilda ITK leaks on Big Fish
Out of interest how would people feel about pick 8 plus Dunstan for Sloane? Sloane is an upgrade on what we have, but he is not really the type of player we are missing Hypoothetically, if we got Sloane, he would push another player out. I don't mind an upgrade. At least he would improve the dynami...

Trent McK has been around for ages, without attracting much media plaudits.
Is he a GOP in a bottom team surrounded by poor quality?
Or is he just not much good anyways?
Who knows...

Re: Who reviews the coaches' performance?
I heard on one of the footy programs tonight that we are one of a number of clubs interested in David Teague for an assistant's role. Currently the forwards coach at Adelaide. OMG can we finally get rid of that Aaron Hamill, an underperforming, overpaid, brainless and clueless forwards coach. Useless

Someone asked Toot Toot " why trade robbo ?" Nixon on Twitter: Can't Trade fresh air you need to trade quality to get quality I think he's just guessing, like everyone else Its true though. If we are targeting something big then we have to lose something decent. Will Hawks play hardball a...

Re: Best 22 without trades
Geary is part of our Zone defence, a defence that gets cut up as it does week in and week out. He does NOT negate small forwards. You aren't watching the games. Geary chooses when to leave his man and go help a brother. He has that experience and ability to pick the right time, then he gets back to...

Check the facts. How's their number one pick going compared to ours. Rising star and has played as many senior games in one year as ours has in three. Want me to go on? I could, but your posts speak for themselves. We didn't have No. 1 pick last year. If we did we would have picked McGrath. Paddy i...

Re: Dylan Roberton
A source from the Hawks. They have offered him 700k per year x3, which is way above what we've offered. I'd say that's what's causing the delay. He must be tempted by an offer like that. A young dad with three kids has a chance to set himself and his family up for life. The longer it goes, the more...

Re: Marshall 2 year extension
Here's hoping the club can develop him properly.
They seem to have done well with the Gresh, JSincs, and a few others,
against all the odds.
But other players are treading water or going backwards.
Far too many.
Weller, Baroose, Newnes, etc

Re: Dylan Roberton
Also we need to re-sign Savage. He has been good in the last half of the year. Serious trade bait, I'm told. His form in the second half of the season pleased the club enormously. His value soared. Roberton must be signed, but I never doubt the Hawks ability to get a deal done. They've offered him ...

Re: Best 22 without trades
Yep, Geelong targeted Geary in 2014, according to the HS. Three years ago. They can't have tried too hard as they normally get their man. A speculative article is proof? I doubt they were too serious. I also doubt he'd be in their best 22 now. I bet they were spewing they couldn't get him over the ...

Have no fear. The mediocracy rules at the saints. He's doing a great job. The only thing more important than success is STABILITY. It's our new mantra. Keep the status quo at all costs. It's pleasing. Be as facetious as you like champ, but the "other tried and trued" method hasn't done us...

Re: Best 22 without trades
Geary is not only the problem but symptomatic of the problem Stevens is also a problem because his hands are not clean - and the reason he is at his third Club He is not a patch on Armitage or on Dunstan And we had better trust that Freeman performs to expectations in 2018 because we need skill and...
