Winner+margin vs Kochie's Kooks
My prediction. Port in front at 1/2 time by a goal. Saints wasteful, King kicking 1.3 to half-time. Butler 2 goals in 1st qtr, no touches in 2nd qtr. Final siren- Port by 5 goals Steelo- Sainter of the Day. Crouch next best with 24 touches+9 tackles Bytel 18 touches with all of them high quality (to...

Re: How many players on our list fit the standard of a top four team?
Double act? Batman & Robin? Fred & Barney? Watch Wilkie go one-on-one for contested ground ball. He can get caught easily if he gets there first. Gets flustered looking for a team-mate to handball it to. Where he works with Dougal, is in a pack mark, Wilkie uses body in the pack to affect t...

Re: What I hate more about this year!
What I hate more about this year is what happened last year - or to be more precise - what happened with one minute to go in the elimination final last year. The following week we played Richmond. My view at the time was that whoever beat Richmond would win the flag. Unlike our poor performance las...

Re: How many players on our list fit the standard of a top four team?
Nah...i would have Jones, Butler, Higgins, Battle much higher.
Wilkie, Billings, Geary, well down the list.
Wilkie isn't an A-Grader. He does work hard, but he's part of a double act with Howard.
He can't perform without Dougal

Re: We Can Win v Port
last year was such a weird one, and for some strange reason, the squad appeared to bond amazingly well, which I believe was the main reason for the incredible unexpected wins. I think the squad dealt with the hub, in a way that other clubs would be totally envious of. Rather than the hub being chal...

Re: Hill returns after brief trip to WA
A few yrs ago, during a bye, I think Armo n 3 team-mates drove to Byron Bay for some surfing.
It was def surfing in Nth NSW, and it was 3-4 Saints, but I could have the players wrong.

Re: Hill returns after brief trip to WA
Kids playing junior footy usually wear their fav team guernsey to training.
Here's my take on fave numbers
4, 9, 12, 16, 28.
How many kids chose #8?
And how many asked their mums to replace it with another, after getting burnt by their mates?
Hey?
Just a thought

Re: Brad Hill should take kick ins
Yeah, couldn't be worse than Howard's kick ins. Howard. Sees 4 or 5 options within range, Saints who are on their own, e.g. Skunk or Battle with nearest oppo 35m away... waits until oppo gets to those guys, then decides to kick long to a group of 7-8 guys including Max Gawn, Nic Nat, etc. Howard, g...

St Byron says rugby is 2 groups of meat-heads smashing into each other. I couldn't agree more  I've watched a few games, just bits of games, and cannot fathom what folks see in this insanity. Makes no sense at all to me. But folks have grown up on this so they understand it. There's a lot of st...

Re: Season ending losses
The Tigers game was Ratten's biggest loss ever. They'll solider on thinking they're stil a chance but for how long? When do they start blooding kids for next year? Sorry, next years, plural. The only way to erase the horrible memory of that, is to be competitive against the Cats n Swans, who we pla...

His last post was just after the WCE game, when he quoted himself saying 'they're hurting...they'll give a great effort...' Then he said after the game 'the proof is in the pudding'. I wonder if he'll announce that the boys are hurting (again) Mate- We/They are shattered. But don’t ever ever think ...

Re: Marshall out
Dunstan, when he gets the ball, cannot kick it accurately. His preferred foot behaves like his non-preferred, it's that dodgy. In the VFL, he'd be playing in less than ideal conditions. Maybe muddy grounds, wind, etc. You'd think that playing at Marvel, under the roof, he'd be relishing the ideal co...

Re: Tony74 silent...
Players are hurting just as much as us. Trying to remain positive, will review and train strongly, ready for Port. Marshall should be back, and Jones. Positive enough?? I’m not ruling us out. If Marshall gets up, and...Jones replaces Webster (for god's sake, Dunny for medical sub) We have an extra ...

Re: Tony74 silent...
I am not baiting him, but all of us are outsiders only hear the comments from Ratts like 'We won't drop Hill' But an anonymous ITK such as Mr 74 can fill in the gaps as to why Hill deserves special treatment that we struggle to understand. It would make it easier for families to go to the effort of ...

Re: Brad Hill iis a Cancer that needs excising
Not playing well but don’t know how it’s obvious the players don’t want him in the team. In the first quarter he was creating space and calling for the ball and the players were, every time, purposely avoiding him even if it meant turning it over. I would have thought blind freddy could have seen t...
