(But fancy having to ask, like all clubs, for AFL approval. Tail wagging dog. What a subservient process).
All clubs need to get a rubber stamp on contract extensions. This is standard process.

Re: The Silly Season

Riley Garcia (WB) was linked on SEN today. Is out of contract and will cost nothing. Funnily enough pushed macrae out of the side this year and is a decent prospect albeit as a depth option. Also will mean our midfield has the only two players ever with the surname Garcia.

Re: Jack McCrae

I honestly think Ryder hindered Marshall’s development as a ruckman Marshall dominated as Number 1 ruck in 2019, 2023, 2024 He was underwhelming in 2020, 2021, 2022 as a forward/back up ruckman Ryder played a few good games and was a decent player but had nowhere near the impact Marshall has had wh...

Re: Jack McCrae

So is the signal that Crouch is done? Macrae is a has been. 1 year cover at beat. Other than that his days are done. Inside mids fall off the cliff faster than any other position. Ryder was bought in for a purpose to protect and develop Marshall and it worked perfectly. Very different scenario to M...

Re: Jack McCrae

The commentary is that we require further centre square and contest mid-field options, so adding to the established Steele then Clark, Phillipou and Windhager where our potential lies. Past that we were missing Crouch and playing Jones and Dow. Asking if Henry is a genuine mid. And if Owens is a ge...

both parties seem happy enough for the story to be public.
St Kilda directly commented via Herald Sun today that no deal was discussed and they’re not interested.

Cannot give up this years first 3 draft picks or next years first pick for anyone over 23yo Do not compromise the future for the now - never do that If we could get a Zac Merrett or the like for a third round pick, or as a FA Then yes - but not for early picks Don’t even give this airtime it’s not ...

Re: Jack McCrae

If you do a series of footywire comparisons of Jackson Macrae vs his performance the year prior, over the following years .... namely: comparing 2024 with 2023, 2023 with 2022, and 2022 with 2021 ... you will see a steady and progressive decline year after year. You would logically expect this decl...

Re: Jack McCrae

Lots of players have moved clubs for more opportunities and have been successful If he were to come … so long as he gets games on merit and form and not because he’s been promised games. Sounds like a fairly hefty contract though. How much and how long, do we know? Reported two days ago in the Aust...

Macrae is a reject. Very likely the bulldogs will have to pay (by giving up one of their top picks) for the privilege of getting him off their list.

Anyone know what the go with crouch is. I haven’t seen anything definitive about his injury and the media haven’t touched it. What is going on, how bad is his injury?

Just a little bit different 1 good game vs us As opposed to a 12 year career It was a joke why McCrae was in the twos and Sub Even Bailey Dale was sub - ridiculous In the twos McCrae humiliated Beveridge by averaging 42 touches Beveridge selection and tactics is exactly why the best list in the AFL...

Re: Jack McCrae

Currently, Jack Steele is the only true midfielder on our list that is better than Jack Macrae. That's not talking up Macrae, that's just the reality of our list. If we gave up very little, he'd be a good acquisition as he'd immediately improve our midfield and be a wonderful mentor for the likes o...

I don’t like Jack McCrae as a player but having just had a think about this, don’t we hold all the power if he requests a trade to us? He’s contracted for 3 years on huge money, the dogs have just resigned English and Naughton on +1 million a year and now have Bont, Richards and Darcy all out of con...

Sheil is not linked to St Kilda. Morris, Edmund and Ralph have all separately reported we are not interested and the deal won’t go ahead. I am completely against the signing of macrae. He’s salary has been reported at $950k a year over the next 3 seasons. He’s barely best 22 at st Kilda has been ver...

See Players Association has called him out for going too far with second guessing Butters injury. That's a group he wouldn't want as an enemy in his line of work. Cats and Hawks. No team is in better form than the Hawks atm. They'll take of Port easily this week. Sydney did very little to be fearful of and with no key fwds they aren't much chop.
