Re: Max King in our thinking

For all the people that are so keen to get Max King does anyone not think that it is a big concern that AFL doctors effectively rate him as having a 30% chance of having another ACL

Re: Hickey gone?

Agree Geelong unlikely to accept 2nd round picks for Kelly but there is also another story running around that they may be able ro get Sydney pick 1 for their 2 2nd rounders

Re: Hickey gone?

WCE will only offer pick 38 now. If they can't get Hickey for that and I don't think it's worth accepting that for him they will offer that pick to the dogs for Roughead. WCE can't afford to take him as a free agent as they will lose the compensation pick for Lycett which they will try to use to get...

FWIW a story I heard today from a reasonable source was that Kosi was travelling OK and the reason why more surgery was required was because he got the ankle re-injured whilst white water rafting.

Jack Steven

Does anyone know where Jack Steven is at with his injury other than the not very helpful info on injuries on the club website that has not been updated since 15 March and says for him " sprained mid foot, to be assessed"

Tom Lynch

Tom Lynch was our first round draft pick in 2008 and I would have thought he would have been given a game in the NAB Cup. He is not listed as being injured. Does anyone know anymore?

I did speak to the club and assumed that I was getting accurate information as the person I was speaking to seemed very sure of what he was saying as I questioned him about it several times. Of course that does not mean I was not given the wrong answer and I might raise the matter more formally with...

I was also tossing up getting a silver membership and retaining my existing social club membership but what stopped me taking up the silver membership was that I was told by the club that if I did this I would not have access to social club GF tickets if we made it through to the GF. I was told that...

As long as you know you don't get the principal when you take one of these offers up which I was dumb enough not to pick up myself for another free bet offer it is OK. However the realilty is most people are like me which means it is bordering on a legal misrepresantation.

I think we have an OK commercial draw but not a great footy draw.

My main concern is we have 6 interstate matches I would play any Melbourne team by choice rather than an interstate team.

This is all the more galling because we aren't selling any games.

This is a joke he has obviously made up his mind to move on and if he was going to stay he wouldn't be meeting with the Ds.

He won't be redrafted by the hawks. There are clearly some off-field/attitude issues involved. My understanding is that his injuries are now under control and he was in full training with the the hawks this week.

Does that mean we should try and pick him up maybe but he is obviously a risk.

If he was going to stay he would have already signed the contract. He is now just waiting till next week to announce the inevitable which is that he will be play with the D's next season. I have read a number of references to Goose having being offered a new one year deal but can't recall seeing any actual press saying he's signed the dotted lines.

The other good thing about the Ball deal not going through is that the pies still have one critical weakeness in their list - they have no decent inside mids and haven't since Scotty Burns retired- what that means is they won't win enough clearances in a finals environment. Saying that I wish we cou...

Unfortunately and I hope I am wrong but the Ball situation is panning out exactly as I thought. We either take an inadequate offer from the pies ie a 2nd round pick and/or some dud players or he goes through to the PSD. My gut feeling is we should let him go through to the PSD knowing he has paid hi...
