Re: Brad Hill - 3 more years
On first glance seemed a fraction long for his age but I think he has such a good mentoring role at the club particularly with the indigenous fellas that this can only be a good thing, even if he doesn't play out that final year fully.

Scorn and Carro found something nice to say for once. Shocked they didn't try and spin this into a negative.. https://www.msn.com/en-au/sport/other/why-cornes-caro-rated-lyon-s-rare-in-game-move/ar-BB1lTCH4?ocid=entnewsntp&pc=U531&cvid=9354f4b16ee6455ab0648b313a61ca1e&ei=57 Caro is a Ro...

Re: Ins and Outs
Batchelor, in his review of last Sunday's Sandringham game, wrote that Schoenmaker needed to work on his physicality. That tells me he's not tackling with enough intent and not being hard enough in the air when contesting. I've seen a few Sandy games and I think that's where he needs to improve. He...

Re: Players who can land a set shot
Goal percentage is not on itself a great indicator Higgins has kicked at least 8 walk in goals from the goal square He also kicked one out of his arse But he’s missed a number of simple set shots from 30 Him and Owens are horrible kicks in general and Ryan Byrnes Yeah based on xScore rating which t...

Re: Players who can land a set shot
Comparison with last year This vs last Better Higgins 56.5% vs 43.4% Membrey 56.5% vs 37.5% Worse King 43.8% vs 54.9% Sharman 40.0% vs 65.2% Owens 41.2% vs 51.0% Not a fair comparison imo Sharman was playing as a wingman and a defender this year. Pretty difficult having to be a fill in utility and ...

Re: Players who can land a set shot
Higgins and King are 50/50 bets even when 30m out directly in front The only players I have a lot of faith with when going for set shots are Sharman, Butler, Wood, Cordy, and Sinclair I cover my eyes when King, Owens, and Higgins are lining up This season King is 54% - 7 from 13 that scored Higgins...

Re: Match Thread: Saints vs Kangas
Dow had a good last quarter in the clinches, racked up quite a few important clearances. Agree that he isn't banging down the door for selection. Curious if anyone who watches the games thinks Arie is close? Personally I feel like he has a lot to work on defensively, seems almost allergic to tacklin...

Re: Match Thread: Saints vs Kangas
Good quarter from Collard. Think he will be close to getting a game at this rate.
O'Connell did a few nice things, Jones started the quarter strong and looking a cut above

Some good today Some things to work on Hopefully he continues to improve and develop into a good player Bit harsh on a 4 gamer don't you think Just because he wears #22 and not #40 something - I don't think you should judge him by it. Didn't it take 2 clubs not really wanting Blake before he pulled his finger out. Was jogging on the fringe of contests for most of his time with us. Can't remember him throwing his weight around. Penny dropped eventually. Seems Voss only wants goers and Blues Captain is 6'5". Persuasive in the...

Re: St.Kilda 🆚 Bottom Teams
Not sure I agree with the conceit this year. Richmond was a bit of an anomaly being at Norwood and we played the ground terribly letting Bolton and Dusty walk all over the first half. Bombers I think have actually been in ok form this year and midtable contenders just like us in theory. Certainly wo...
