Re: Phillipou
The issue is that experimenting is done at Sandy not in the seniors if you are serious about winning games. If we have no expectations of performance this year and wins are not important then fine, eyes to next year and play the kids. However, if the plan is to win every game then Pou should either ...

Re: Worst possible start to the season we were all fearing...
No, I will follow St Kilda and if we finish higher than 7th I will admit I was wrong. If we don't will you? I apologise….got you mixed up with Sydney saint. I really need to pay more attention. No problems no offense taken. I am an ex-Sydneyite haven't lived there for many years. Back in Melbourne ...

What she meant to say is that obviously the decision was correct as Dangerfield walked away with a free kick.
Anything other than Dangerfield being in the right is completely unacceptable.

Re: Worst possible start to the season we were all fearing...
That’s great so you will admit you are wrong but will still extensively rubbish the Saints at the first sign of a loss going forward? I didn't extensively rubbish the saints. I have opinions on where we are at as a club and opinions on the limitations of certain players and I stated them I simply s...

Re: Worst possible start to the season we were all fearing...
I disagree that our season is over or that it is time to start panicking. We are unlikely to win against the pies but we will not get flogged. It will be a 3 to 4 goal loss so all the Ross Acolytes can say but we have injuries, we played the best team in the comp and we would have beaten them at Ma...

Re: StKilda again the ones that cop it.
Perhaps JW should have read the below or should have been briefed on the strong stance the AFL will be taking in 2024 with amendments to high contact. The article clearly states that the tribunal will not be bound by outcomes of any previous cases. That is a fairly blatant admission by the AFL beca...

Re: The list
I tend to agree with the majority of the media on this and that we are likely to slide. I personally predict us to finish somewhere between 10 and 14. I think we have a reasonably list but we have less top end talent than other teams that will be looking to make the eight. We really lack any true ga...

Re: Webster appalling
I have no issue with 7 weeks being the expected punishment for a hit like this, as it was incredibly stupid, as long as it is applied consistently. However, I think we all know it simply won't be. Last year Maynard got let off a simply horrendous piece of thuggery and should have missed the Grand Fi...

Re: Round 2 Tickets
I have been a St Kilda Social club member for 30 plus years and this year I am finally wondering if I should bother renewing next year. I just purchased tickets to a St Kilda home game. That is why I have a membership so I don't have to buy tickets as all home games are included in the membership pr...

Re: A bit of help from regular game attendees pls
You can get General Admission tickets easily on the day. That will give you access to the third level which is where I always sit even when I have been offered level 2 or 1 seats as I think the view is better from there. It won't be a huge crowd so it shouldn't be an issue. If however you want 7 sea...

That is an up yours to a 30 year plus member who has paid for his membership and social club membership on top.

Re: Brayshaw - leave thread here as it affects the future of footy in general
I presume everyone who is saying it was clearly intentional, a thug act and once you leave the ground that you are responsible for what occurs to anyone when you are landing will remember this and repeat it all when a saints player inevitably leave the ground and bump or run into someone? If you ac...

Re: Jack Bytel training with Collingwood
The reason he didn't make it here was that he is a one position player as an in and under coal face midfielder. It is a role we have no shortage of with Ross, Steele, Crouch and have just added another in Paddy Dow. The Pies have most areas covered on their list but one area they are short, with the...

This screams of another one shown the door because he dared to disagree with Ross the boss. I know I am in the minority but I really don't like Ross Lyon and cannot understand why he is touted as some kind of supercoach. He has only had success, moderate success at that, when he has been handed A-g...

Re: Is Jack Sinclair a ‘First-choice midfielder’?
Jack was drafted in 2015 and spent the first 5 years as a good ordinary player running through the midfield. He was not an automatic selection as a midfielder but was often a rotation through the bench. Then he was given a chance to play off half back and his game has become elite becoming one of th...

Re: Innovators win, not imitators!
There is nothing innovative about going all out on athletes which is what this trade and draft period has been. Ross has always put more value in effort than skill and athletic ability over footballing ability. Gresham leaving was neither here nor there as he was just after money and we weren't offe...
