Re: Reserve Bay Membership Tickets for first 3 Home Games- Seats are Bookable from 11AM 1st March (Today)

I really like the idea of the reserved bay, but jesus it's a hassle when it comes to getting tickets. My household has 2 reserved bay members and one GA member. We all want to upgrade to a reserved seat for Round 1, but there's no way to book them together. I can get a reserved seat in the reserved ...

Re: Our support has dropped right off

It's not restricted to us. Membership numbers are down at a lot of clubs, and average crowds are ~20% down on 2019. We've done incredibly well with our Membership numbers this year The ticketing is a little bit more difficult (no walkups etc.) Transport is a little bit more annoying (masks etc) Faci...

Probably should have the game moved to Kardinia Park so Jack doesn't have to travel too far??

Definitely better, my membership allows L1 behind the goals, but I got a seat in Aisle 35, right on the wing, with no upgrade fee.

Re: You heard it here first..................

Yep, I'm up for that.

Only issue is the requirement for using first round picks, I think its a minimum of 2 in a 4-year period. If we trade out this year's, we might be locked into using one in 2021, which is pretty restricting if something opportunistic comes up (ie. Ben King wanting to come home)

Re: Paddy McCartin

The club won't pick him against his will!!! Don't make it seem like St Kilda are forcing him to play. If Paddy is healthy and confident and wants to give it another crack, I'd certainly prefer that to be with us than at another club. But if he's not, he wont be in the draft. The AFL wont publicly sa...

Re: Audit: Where are we (maybe, really) now?

I see us similar to Brisbane last year. They finished 2nd, we're not gonna match that. But I think 4th is very much in play, especially if WC's hub form is like the first part of the season. But we're gonna be shown to be a level below those good teams once the finals come around. The concerns aroun...

Re: Future of AFL Competition 2021 and beyond

No way the AFLPA agrees to 34 games a year - short quarters or not. Only way to play each team twice is to reduce the amount of teams - 14 or 15 teams into 26 or 28 games with short quarters is the only hope. It wont happen anyway - the main argument for playing each time twice is "fairness&quo...

Re: To all the posters who kept saying debt doesn't matter.....

A couple of points/questions: - The AFL decide if we get the arse. And it won't be because of debt. It will be a number of factors. Debt probably being the least relavent. - The debt is an obvious problem now because we can't service the loan. And the AFL won't be in a position to help as they're g...

Re: Youth Clash Jersey

Sorry, can't give an exact measurement on that size, but I bought a kids size 6 last year in the end of season clearance. My son has only just turned 4, so we thought we'd get that size and he'd grow into it and get a few seasons out of it. Unfortunately, it'll be lucky to last the year. It's plenty...

Re: New saints to debut round 1

Roberton is interesting. On paper, he's one of the first picked, but after the best part of 2 years looking on, I think you want him to get a couple of competitive games under his belt first. I agree that there's one spot for him and Wilkie to share, and as things stand that spot is Wilkie's to lose...

Re: No Saints players suspended in 2019

We had more than our fair share of blokes sitting in the stands this year, last thing we needed was guys pretending to be tough and getting rubbed out. Toby Greene is a Class A d**khead and I don't reckon the hero aura that's surrounding him this week would be as strong if GWS got rolled last week w...

Re: Trade Latest from The Age...2 out of 4 so far

I think Keath is just a backup if a big offer comes for Carlisle.

Yes, we've said he's not going anywhere, but the Pies are reportedly sniffing around and if they want him bad enough, we take the nice deal and grab Keath.

Re: Where will Newnes go and what do we get for Jill?

Newnes is restricted, means he's on a decent packet (Top 10 on our list I believe??) There's only been a single 3rd round Restricted FA compo given, the rest have been end of 2nd round or better. The AFL doesn't want us to languish, I reckon we'll get pretty generous compo as half compo/half priorit...

Re: AFL is a Joke. Tony Greene still suspended!

Greene's been suspended for his actions over 2 weeks - simple as that.

The AFL wants players on the park in finals, thats why they let him off last week, but for him to try it again, he deserves the week for stupidity.

Re: Rank our season out of 10

After the last 2 rounds, a lot of the positivity for the year has disappeared. It may be enough to cost Rattan the job. Billings had a good year but still not quite the heights we've been hoping for.....yet. But def a step in the right direction. Gresham had a good year playing a lot of footy in the...

Clearly Carlisle came back from injury just to trigger his contract clause - he hasn't been right in any of the games this year.

Rowe looked more agile with better effort today, that's saying something.

Jimmy Webster - Anyone Else Concerned???

This comes from nothing more than a gut feel. But there’s something fishy going on with Jimmy. I saw a couple of people mention he wasn’t happy to play after he hurt his hand but he did and did further damage. Since then he had a “fitness test”, then the back issue, then tonsillitis, now illness, wi...

Us and the Gold Coast were the only teams to miss any spots in the squad of 40 last year, pretty sure history will repeat this year. One of the many drawbacks of the media saturation we have to suffer through is that these awards (AA, the Brownlow, MVP, 22 under 22 etc) have all become massive popul...

Re: Does it matter to you whether we win or lose this weekend against Sydney

Don’t get me wrong, I want the Saints to win every time we run out.....however.... The problem we face is that if we win and North and Freo lose (vs Melb and Port respectively), we’ll finish 12th which moves us into the middle band of teams for next year’s fixtures. I wouldn’t mind a nice easy run ...
