Cannot see the obsession with keeping 13 and 25 to use in a lucky dip they call the Draft. Use 13 for Hickey, Boston and 26 then 25 and 26 for Brown. Fixes our immediate deficiencies then upgrade Curren and Dunnel. If Hickey and Brown were in the draft we would use those picks for them anyway.

We cannot expect to keep picks 13 and 24 and pick up Brown, Hicky and any of the other half dozen or so we have been linked to. From a generally reliable source on BigFooty (Brian Speaking) Mitch told West Coast to get f'd today and that it was either us or the WAFL next year! Huge development!

When we get Hickey there is only one spot available on our list, to fit all those picks (13 + 24, 34, 38, 41, 43, 53) we will have to delist six players and all but Ledger and Clarke are contracted.

With lists so tight and the prospect of a Suns/GWS domination looming, I think many clubs are thinking the window is only open for the next four years if that. I think Geelong and Collingwood are the big winners so far.

I hope I am wrong too, but if we get just couple of the players we are chasing that only leaves one spot on the list. So any dps we use will be at the expense of a player we already have. Does not look good for Clarke, Blake or Ledger.

I can only see us delisting Blake and or Raph, all the rest have contracts other than Ledger. That leaves 5 spots and we are still in the hunt for Brown, Hickey and others.

It seems to me we only have three spots left on our list right now unless we de-list Raph and Ledger, maybe four if Cripps leaves.

I still think 13 and 24 will be traded out for ready to go 20-25yr old players.

There is a long two weeks to go yet, by getting Lee and going after Caddy/Brown/Hickey it seems the coach is looking at the next couple of seasons not six years of development.
