Re: Draft prediction - player types

We'd be very lucky to land James Leake. Looks quite versatile.

Re: Y or N- happy for Ross to be our guy again?

Very interested to see how polarising this really is.
I was very icky on the thought of it at first but have come around, albeit with a bit of apathy.

Re: Magnificent!!!

I didn’t watch all of it but what a train wreck!! FMD, what the hell are they on down there. They’ve totally torched their current coach and over what - a chance to grab another coach who’s been twiddling his thumbs for 12 months. My god - what a disaster!! Other club boards and execs must be watch...

Re: Tasmania

StK In no way a fan of the suburb. s*** to get to, and crowded with tourists and wankers! It's really not bad at all. Wankers largely confine themselves to the new Espy and Village Belle. And thank god for the tourists, they bring the place to life. Wasn't the same without them last two years. Let ...

Re: Eddie is a man of vision and superior intellect

I gave my Hobartian father in law a call a few weeks ago to have a chat about the potential new Tassie team. He's a Saints man so not terribly bothered, but I did ask him if he could see any issue with the north south rivalry over the club. Said the rivalry is a bit of a myth and it won't be a facto...

Re: If Eddie's proposal is ratified by the AFL then I think.....

How would the proposal go for attracting players through free agency, which as become a hugely important part of staging premiership tilts? Given that FA players are in the the later stages of their career, they will often have a spouse, children, a house to tend to. Going back and forth every other...

What is it with millennials and their want to have everything formalised and officalised and sanitised? …ffs, revel in your fringe-ness and stop whinging and whining about people who don’t partake, get on with it and have a laugh and keep the cheer squad, the club and song books well out if it! Ove...

Re: Moorabbin Wing and Saintly Hymns

Serious question. I am going to my first live game at Marvel in 20 years. Can I buy a General Admission ticket and just sit anywhere (empty seats) after the game has started? upstairs you can (in the non-reserved areas). Downstairs you can't but you might be able to sneak in and hope you're not in ...

Re: Moorabbin Wing and Saintly Hymns

It would be nice if the cheersquad adopted some of the more simple chants from the aisle 29 bunch/saintly hymns. They would be the first cheersquad in the competition to do something different and it's only a matter of time before other clubs catch on so would be a shame if our cheersquad are still...

They’re over here to get pissed and root as often as possible They are not here to start supporting a foreign team in a strange game?! They're here to get into the spirit of the city they're visiting. Come at the right time and that spirit is footy. I'm not making assumptions here, this is my own l...

Re: Junction Oval in funding crisis.

My 2 cents, the JO tourist approach would be great for us. JO is right in the heart of one of Aussie's biggest backpacker districts. I lived there in my 20s (not long ago) and can tell you most of the brits are keen to check out this bizarre sport at least once. And the Irish to see how it compares ...

11 different players nominated explains why they have been such a force in recent years 😳
And of those 11 players, only one on the park in red and yellow last week - Swallow.

Their future was bright in 2013 too, and with 3 more wins on the board. Where are all those players now?
For the rest of their existence, however long that may be, Gold Coast will be a mail order catalogue of stars for other clubs.

Re: Nathan Freeman

I'm not very optimistic about Nathan. I sincerely hope he makes it onto the park and can contribute to our seniors, but if he's taking steps back to the dev squad then the game will leave him behind. It's a huge ask for a bloke who's played just a handful of VFL matches at 21 years old to take it to...

Each morning the goons at my workplace tune in to their dear leader on Triple M. I've had to listen to him drone on and on about the issue to the point that I cannot fathom him being able to run his mouth off if he's such a filthy liar and cheat. That would be the most embarrassing thing ever witnes...
