The AFL is a rigged competition. We know that.
They need change at board level. I say...if you can't beat em...join em
I vote for Sainter_Dad to join the AFL commission and CURLY to be the new Chairman

Re: Higgins Alir incident
I get that people want to discuss Collard and other players who might replace Higgins, but what I don't get is ... Saints supporters accepting the fact that Higgins cops 3 weeks. It wasn't your traditional sling tackle. Higgins DID NOT lift Aliir. He did not sling Allir Every other dangerous tackle ...

Re: Higgins Alir incident
Payne argued that Jack began to 'rotate' him BEFORE Aliir attempted to kick the football In what fkn universe did Jack rotate Aliir's body? Jack has one of Allir's arms pinned and Jack pulls him in one direction. Straight down!! At the point where Allir is absolutely going to fall ( he's horizontal ...

Re: Higgins Alir incident
They're calling it a dangerous tackle due to Jack rotating Allir. So in their eyes it's a sling tackle. Watch Higgins body and arms. Do not fix your eyes on Allir's body or his head slamming the ground Does Jack twist his own body or change direction with the way he brings Aliir to the ground? https...

Re: Higgins Alir incident
Pane (AFL) says Higgins began to execute a rotating tackle before Aliir attempted to kick the football. "In other words, Higgins initiated the dangerous tackle and placed Aliir in a vulnerable position." How can you win when their whole argument is a lie to begin with All they're doing is...

Re: Higgins Alir incident
Payne is a fkn liar It's a fabrication to claim that Higgins began to execute a 'rotating tackle' Watch Higgins body and head and arms in isolation without looking at Aliir. It's all one motion in one direction Pane (AFL) says Higgins began to execute a rotating tackle before Aliir attempted to kick...

Re: The Jimmy Situation
I agree. You make a valid point. Makes sense to ease him back for his own sake. We don't want him doing a hammy first game back. He hasn't played at any level for 8 weeks. He was denied any match practice when the club asked if he could play in a practice game for the VFL side a couple of weeks ago ...

Re: Players in question for 2025?
Another interesting stat on wheeloratings.com/afl is the disposal efficiency team stats St Kilda is second last for DE by foot. It's in the disposals section under 'Kick Eff %' Surprisingly Geelong are third last  ...so I suppose that stat in isolation doesn't mean that much. I don't know why...

We're bottom 4 for Score Launches.
We're bottom 4 for goals per Inside 50's
We're bottom 4 for shots on goal per inside 50...
But yeah... it's Membrey's and Sharman's fault

Re: Marshall
Campbell deserves a game if Marshall is out. Agree particularly against the weaker sides we have coming up. But if RTB is true to form he will play a 1/2 fit Marshall, have him hobble around for half the night until they realise they have made a mistake. You left out the bit that describes what hap...

Nasiah averages 1.9 tackles per game this year
Battle is only averaging 1.4 per game
That's worse than Riley Bonner

He's also a barometer for the team. You wouldn't call him a leader, but he provides the spark that inspires his team mates.
He'll be badly missed if he gets suspended

Re: Higgins Alir incident
I've been really impressed with Jack Higgins this year. Not so much his set shot kicking, but his work off the ball and his contest work including winning loose ground balls.
His score involvements, his goal assists and his work inside 50 have been very good too.

Re: Higgins Alir incident
The AFL need robots and artificial intelligence to determine incidents instead of biased opinions by humans They probably won't do that though, because that will take away their ability to influence the MRO and the tribunal. Unless of course ....they rig the software and algorithms to make sure the ...

Re: Higgins Alir incident
Anyhoo…back to the specifics of whether Jack Higgins is guilty of a dangerous tackle? I watched it just now. Frame by frame. Aliir is being brought to the ground and he attempts to kick the footy while he is virtually horizontal. His whole upper body weight has now shifted direction because he chose...

Re: Drafting 25
Only St Kilda would flip flop from the general vanilla selection in 2013 to the total opposite extreme the following year, by taking a gamble on the most important pick of all - the number 1 draft pick. McCartin was someone with known health issues and well publicised fitness problems Edited bit in...

For nutjobs it’s either women’s fault or the dogooders fault or the greenies fault or the socialist lefts fault. Laura and Dillon are puppets. They get told what to do At the moment, there are court cases regarding retired players who claim the AFL did not protect them in their worlkplace. There wil...

Re: Drafting 25
Every club would have put Boyd, Kelly, and Billings in the top 3. ' Every club' feeds the media whatever the media expect to hear. They're not going to disclose their actual picks Only gullible supporters would swallow the excuses used by incompetent recruiters. Only St Kilda would flip flop from t...
