Re: Is Kosi fair dinkum
It's up to him and it's up to the leadership and the coaches to MANAGE the older players. What more efn evidence do you need than last night's match. Kosi got suspended and then came back after a freshen up and killed it...he was played where he is most comfortable and he had an opportunity to play ...

Re: Pump GC vs resting players
Rooy got some fantastic headlines this past week for kicking 7 against the Suns and notching up goal number 500...but was it the best thing for the team's chances of finals success this year? Was it the best thing for Watters and his selection committee and the player leadership group to treat the g...

Re: Not resting the stars was worth almost two wins
Not resting blokes has consequences. Almost worth two wins beating the Suns...................but the softest decision and the most selfish decision by Roo the captain and by the leadership group and by the coaches. Why efn take the all older players to Gold Coast and why play them all, when we KNEW...

Clarke is absolutely in our best 22 on tonights effort. Sipposs had kicked a beauty, Schneids kicked one from the 50m penallty and the game was in the balance just before half time when Milne blew our chances of 3 goals in a row. It was only 6 mintes to go and the Crows scored 2 in a row after that ...

Why are we forgetting about how good the Crows are going this year?? How the **** do you stop Thompson and Dangerfield and Van Berlo and Sloane and all their mids who are absolutely flying?? Did Ross fkn Lyons dockers stop the Crows? No!!! They got pumped!!! Yes 2009 was great in home and away, but ...

Gears looked like he resumed where he left off...and it was good to see Schneids out on the park. Loved Jimmy's long kicks tonight and Sipposs is showing glimpses of being a matchwinner at some stage....Dempster was a rock tonight...also Raph very brave, and Jack and Joey were tireless and set up qu...

Re: HOLDING THE BALL AND DELIBERATE
two or three times their blokes spun out of tackles or hung onto the footy for way too long...a free kick in Melbourne, but play on in Morontown. The misses from senior blokes cost us...when the game was close we lost momentum and those misses gave Crows the footy, from the kick in they took it up t...

Re: why bother with milne and kosi interstate
...typical....just when I want to hang sh1t on Milne he gets a couple of junk time goals I agree that both have been poor over their careers when it comes to interstate games, but right now it's hard to give Kos the flick when Macca obviously needs a back up. I think Milney is more easily replaceabl...

Re: Contenders or pretenders?
There's always going to be teams that dominate a year and are the standout but I don't think at this stage that anyone can say there's a standout. The Cats definitely were in 2007, Pual Roos Swans in 05/06 were....we knew pretty early on in 02, 03 and 04 that Lions were going to be contenders...same...

I have no problem and neither does the AFL. He's abiding by the rules. You'll find that it creates an ounce of uncertainty for the opposition, a chance for some players with doubts to get up for team change deadlines and it also gives coaches a chance to assess weather conditions, late info on the ...

Maybe Ross could have just looked at the Stat Sheet R19- 22 possesions, 1goal, 10 tackles R21- 18 possessions, 13 tackles R22- omitted...... In; R.Eddy Who questioned the coach at the time? I wonder what Leigh Tudor thought about it? Maybe because we were flying alot of the Lyons selection blunders...

Roo and Dal and one other senior player (might have been Bally I think) were out in the media around the time of the Aka saga at the Lions. At that time, Dal used to be on Before the Game quite a bit and I think that's where he might have said that Aka isn't wanted. After Aka got the arse, I thought...

Re: How good is Armo's tackling
Armo only had 4 tackles according to the stats. Blake with 8, Sippos with 6 and Hayes with 5 had the most for the saints. Glad you mentioned the tackle numbers. I was going to say that Blakey laid plenty...stuck nearly all and a couple of them went unrewarded when their blokes definitely had prior....

Re: Not resting the stars was worth almost two wins
The thing that helps the team in the long term and also in the short term for a fair dinkum crack at the finals this year, is that more blokes get game time. That's where team depth, management of your older blokes and some tough calls need to be made if you have any aspirations of being a contender...

I felt so uneasy about the decision to let someone go who had grown with the group and had been such an important part of our young team in the 04/05 years. The risk was there that he'd never play again, but surely you'd give him enough time if you rated the bloke. Why would we get rid of someone li...

No offence intended here, but who cares what you recall? I know what I said. If there is anything I was consistent in questioning, it was the forward line and it's issues. So you said it. Cant recall you ever saying anything against our coach but who cares. Who should have played in the forward rol...

Re: Goddard/Roo switch?
Roo missed some shots on goal that BJ most probably wouldn't have....As far as our last 3 coaches, well I reckon BJ only arrived as a player in the last 5 years and it had nothing to do with Lyon's influence, it had more to do BJ's maturity. His role as a utility and his position was governed by nec...

Re: Pump GC vs resting players
It might become more accepted as part of the modern game where travel and players ages and planning for finals and adding team depth means you rest players. Tell these blokes that they are first choice when we make finals and tell them that it is in the teams interest. Ideally you'd get buy-in from ...
